No, you take down the underneath surface of the interior rollbar. There are four bolts (use 10mm hex socket) holding it up, then you need to pry it out from under the plastic layers on the sides. But be careful not to pry the front edge because it will break -- this piece is made of cast foam. Instead work from the back edge. Also, be careful not to drop your wrench behind the seat or you might not get it back.
Excellent, thanks! It looks like the tape holding the harness against the top of the rollbar cover has given way over time. Any suggestions on replacement tape for this?
I did not change out any tape in my car, so I don't have a suggested replacement, but also I think the cable routing was such that there would not be an opportunity for the wires to fall down behind the lens.
All better now, thanks for the suggestions. I ended up using gorilla tape and I agree there's no way to explain how the cabling got in front of the light since it should simply fall into the space behind it.
