The oil companies already know that their product supply will run out eventually, having a small percentage of EV's out there in developed markets is not going to make much difference to them. China, India and a few other countries will continue to take all the oil they can get their hands on for years to come. The big auto companies have more reason to be concerned about the difficulties of changing their current business model.
