Would Tesla owners be interested in Classic Car Tesla conversions?

I have been playing with the idea of taking a quintessential muscle car (60s Mustang or Corvette) and re-modding it to operate on the Tesla platform (P100D). The idea is that you would have a classic car with all the technology of the Tesla...essentially a restoration of classic car for the electric/tech car enthusiasts.

What do you think? Would not be cheap to do but is there a market of Tesla owners that would love a classic car updated with the technology of a Tesla?

You bet! Plan is to electrify my classic Studebaker so always up for ideas.

I’m not thinking of going all out on a P100D conversion. Just a RWD Model S would work with a smaller pack say from a Leaf or something.

Not sure about cutting up a good original, but how about building a new one with classic styling and Tesla drivetrain ?

There are companies in Europe that does this. Criticism is that the classic cars are very heavy and not ideal for EV right now... too much weight and you lose range.

Not a classic Mustang, but I do have a 2003 Mustang Cobra and the rear suspension....

...sure looks like it could fit a Model 3 rear suspension. (Some fabrication required, of course.)

Reproduction tin is not cheap but still a lot less money than buying a good original. Request a catalog to see the pricing on a full body kit.
