Would this screen defect be covered under warranty? (2016)

Not sure if some kind of burn in or what it is, but it sticks out.

Yes I just had this fixed under warranty in Houston. Our temperatures here (aka hot) cause the glue to yellow over time and they use a UV lamp on it for some amount of time to turn the glue color back to clear (we’ll almost to clear).
So this is something I could do myself you think?
