While 't***a' probably does mean 'tesla', I can't help but wonder why Tesla Motors would use their own name as a handle. On the other hand, why would they keep it a secret? But in fact, it might just be some guy who really wants a Roadster.

If it is Tesla Motors, I like the opinion that they are buying back crashed cars for forensic purposes. It's probably also possible that this would be a way for them to set a "reserve" of sorts, so someone doesn't buy it cheap and Bondo it up.

I could probably find out through 'connections'. But that would be wrong and I'm not going there.

Yeah, I wonder too... But I don't think they will be saying.

Spare parts perhaps. Maybe their new mechanics need to train taking things apart and putting them back together again.
