Bogus article. They basically only presented the HEPA filter portion when asking some various people. They did not evaluate the Model X nor did they properly describe all aspects of the HVAC system.

All people can do at this point is speculate unless one of the Founders owners hand over their cars for testing or Tesla agrees to hand over a car to an independent lab.
Though the Physics of filters and what can be filtered is pretty well known. HEPA filters generally don't remove particles smaller than .3 microns and viruses are generally that size or smaller. To get better filtration would require a cleanroom filter which I don't think could be fit into a car. I think it would also be difficult to make the doors of a car air tight enough for cleanroom quality air too.
I think Tesla is stretching the biohazard thing a bit. Experts do agree that a HEPA filter can extract bacteria, which is one type of biohazard, but not viruses. What I think is true that Tesla can claim is the Model X has the best air filtration system in a regular production car.
Head room getting in. The MS, like most sedans these days, is tough for me to enter. I have to really duck my head hard.
At the MX reveal, my head cleared with 4 inches to spare!
