I had been pricing the Yakima Skybox 16 and found that Backcountry would give me a 20% discount but I'd have to pay for shipping. Some local stores were out of stock. Also some of the vendors increased the price from $599 to $679 after the new year. I found Nissan OEM Parts Direct had it on sale for $496.16. When I called they said to call my local Nissan dealers even though this was for my Model 3. The first dealer said they would not match the price but the second one said they would. They ordered it, it came the next day and I only paid $496.16. The person in parts helped me mount it. If you are in the market, you might want to try this to get a good price.

oh good tips. I ended up going to my local rackattack a month ago and getting their last Grand Tour at full price, like others here recommended. REI seemed to have em in stock too near me, FWIW.

Seems like it's the same specs as a skybox 16, just shiny instead of matte plastic.

Hmm... I'm starting to plan a road trip. I have a Skybox 16 in my garage rafters that I used on my Outback. I'd like to put it on my 2023 MYLR, but Yakima says it doesn't fit? From this and one other thread it appears it does fit, but anyone have any idea why they would say that? I haven't ordered the Tesla roof rack yet.

Just ordered the roof rack, so I'll find out if it still fits in a week or so.

Manually adjust the liftgate to the point you want it to stop. Press and hold the button on the liftgate that closes it for 3 seconds until you hear a chime. Now the liftgate will stop at that position when opened.
