Ye Old Color Question Again - Color Swap After Confirm

    I confirmed about two weeks ago, but I keep seeing Metallic Gray cars that I really like. Anyone have ideas on how to switch? The sales guys were not very helpful, but I wasn't very persistent either. From what I can tell VIN hasn't been assigned.

    If you have been contacted by your delivery specialist, just send him/her an email and that should take care of it (as long as car has not gone in the production). I was able to change our car color from black to white 3-4 days after confirming the order.

    They were able to accommodate a color change for me weeks after confirming, I just asked... they did need to "look into it" for a few days. My original choice was blue, however after seeing it in person...I though it was too dark (borderline black) and went Silver.

    Add me to the list of those who were able to make a change to color. We were set on red, but made a request for change in color 3 or 4 days after we hit the confirm button. They initially gave us the "unfortunately, we cannot make any changes after confirmation...", but as I pressed them a bit more on the phone, they were able to accomodate since the vehicle did not go into production yet.

    I changed color something like 1.2 months after confirming since it wasn't in production yet. I personally called (650) 681-5100 and told them I'd be extremely disappointed if I ended up with the color I chose. Hell, I even changed my suspension (coil -> air) a few days after I changed color. This really shouldn't be an issue for you having just confirmed. (unless maybe you're expedited due to a P+ order)

    Last weekend, my wife and I had dinner in Newport Beach, CA and stopped in the Tesla store. My wife saw the piano interior and requested that I change my wood choice. So 6 weeks after confirmation, I sent in a request. The next day I was called and told okay to the change. Now just need to wait for delivery 3-15-2014.
