    Car was working fine. Dropped kids off at camp.

    Got back in car: features unavailable message and a yellow steering wheel alert every 12 seconds. On occasion, it would give me an alert after 10 seconds and then another after 2 seconds. It was a neat pattern, but, as you can imagine, SUPER UNPLEASANT over the course of a 30 minute drive. Powered off car. No change. Rebooted both screens. No change.

    New ECU is needed, I'm told. They don't have any at my service center and they cannot turn the alert off. Awesome.

    Anyone else have this fault?

    @JonMc

    7-10 business days to get the part to Chicago!?!?

    Update: just told no loaners available.

    So I get to drive my 100k+ car around for an unspecified amount of time with an audible alert every 12 seconds.

    I assume they checked, but any of the other SC's have a loaner?

    There are no loaners available at either Chicago-Grand or Highland Park.

    On the upside, I suppose this means no more than 7-10 days until I get some silky smooth AP.

    I don't know the geography/neighborhood, so, sorry, what's up with Westmont?

    And I would have hoped for a quicker parts resolution also!

    Westmont is about an hour from me, if I'm lucky and there's no traffic. On a Friday afternoon, though, yuck.

    If they have no loaners, they should get a rental for you. I've had them get me a rental and then a tesla loaner for a waiting part.

    I'd rather listen to my Tesla annoy me with an alert than drive an ICE. :)

    Ah, I hear you. But if they had a Tesla loaner, and for a week, tossup. :D

    Me, I'd call and ask. But lots of YMMV. And I do hope the part comes in soon!

    I had this fault 2 weeks ago, I rebooted both screens and the issue went away about 30 seconds after the reboot...

    I don't mean to be snippy, but I'm not sure I get your point.

    Just wanted to chime in that I also had this fault a few weeks ago, when it was occurring the dashboard display was freaking out with my car jumping from left to right side of the lane display and the lane line flickering on and off... quite a show with the "driver assistance features unavailable contact service" alert every 10 seconds or so

    Guess I was lucky that mine was fixed with a screen reboot, the service center did check the car but saw no errors listed, it was a 120 Degree day in vegas so I blame the heat....

    Ahhh, gotcha. Ok.

    There were no lane lines at all on my dash display and my GPS was dead. They seem certain it "just" needs a new ECU.

    Oh and the alert pattern is this:

    12 seconds, 12 seconds, 12 seconds, 10 seconds, 2 seconds, repeat

    :p:eek::(
