Yoke Replacement with RPM Steering wheel

After much deliberation, I just ordered my steering wheel (not the D-shape) from RPM. 2021+ | Model S & X Yoke Round Sport Steering Wheel - Real Molded Carbon Fiber

They send you a wheel with the internals of the wheel already installed and they include a heating element as well. I ended up buying a used OEM yoke on ebay to send back to them as the core, because I wanted to keep my original for resale. They do need your build letter inside your wheel before you order. Not sure how long it will take.

I can't find anyone else on here that used RPM, but they seem to have their stuff together, including shipping you the tools to remove your wheel and great videos on all their products, including the wheel.

I love RPM. I get all my stuff there. Let me know what you think of your yoke. I have been contemplating it for a while now and still on the fence. Really like to test drive one.

All of RPM Tesla’s items are great, albeit slightly expensive. I went with the EV Secret carbon fiber wheel but RPM Tesla’s wheel looks mighty fine. Easy install and definitely a bit more functional than a yoke. You’ll enjoy your purchase I’m sure.

I don’t believe so. But living in a California coastal town, as yourself, it shouldn’t be much of an issue.

Do the RPM replacement wheels have the horn button in the center, as God intended, or are you still stuck with the stupidity of the horn actuator on the spoke?

Nope. Since all the aftermarket wheels use the OE panel it’s still on the capacitive button.

Thanks for the info. No way will I buy a car with the horn not in the wheel hub. I'm Jonesing for a Model S but this will be a deal breaker, at least for a new one.

But fortunately there are at least 7 reasons “to” buy a Model S. Of course most things are subjective.

What would those reasons be? Seriously - no snarkiness involved. I'd really like to know what some folks think are downvotes on the S...

And I would NEVER buy ANY vehicle with the horn button so inaccessible.
