Yoke steering wheel interchangeable ?

I can only find threads about how people feel about their Yoke steering wheel. So that is long been covered. The purpose of this thread is since it appears to be a trend that the newer cars will come with this steering wheel, is it possible to swap an OEM Yoke steering wheel for a traditional OEM steering wheel (like for like model cars of course) ?

Restoring a yoke back into a round one is a nonissue.

But it's a challenge to restore all the missing stalks.

For a Model 3, there have been interchangeable yoke steering wheels for your original round steering wheel already. So that is not a problem.

The challenge is if when all the stalks of Model 3 will be deleted just like what happened with 2021 Model S/X, in addition to restoring a yoke steering wheel back to a round one, how are you going to also restore all the missing stalks.

Given we only have the 2021 Model S to use as a reference, the answer is no. You would lose all the controls built into the yoke (turn signals, horn, etc..) if you swapped it out for a pre-2021 Model S steering wheel.

As of right now, Tesla says the Model S will not be offered with a traditional wheel (even tho some prototypes with one have been seen).
