Yoke -- what are the chances??

That TESLA has outsmarted as all... by which I mean the perimeter of the steering mechanism (either the lower part of the yoke or the entire circumference of the round wheel) just pop off the central steering mechanism that contains all of the electronics with a few set screws behind the 3 attachment points? This would enable any given vehicle to be converted from a "yoke" version to a "traditional" version in a few minutes by the local dealership. Could this be what's actually going on? Just a hopeful thought....

yes that is what triggered this idea, along with a close inspection of the photos which seem to show "seams" that might support such an application...
