Yonkers supercharger weird low rate again

Plugged in around 60%, charging at 31kW. There are only two other cars on this entire bank of 18 "urban" chargers -- I would expect around 50kW at this charge state.

There's a big solar array here and a state-subsidised microgrid demonstration project; I wonder if they're interacting with the Tesla equipment somehow to reduce max charger power, like they've had to do at Paramus several times in the past few years?

Not particularly - it was about 35F out, we don't turn range mode on in the winter, and we drove about 15 miles to the charger. Also, if so the charge rate should rise as the battery heats, right?

All of which would lead to about 30 kW at 60% SOC.

If you are already at 60% SOC, you won't get much battery heating on the way up from there. Try it starting at 20% SOC under similar conditions and you may make it to 80 kW by the time you get to 50% SOC.

What was your regen limit? If you had any showing, then don't expect "normal" charge rates.

15 miles near freezing with a completely cold battery isn’t going to do much at all in terms of heating.

Starting at 60%, it wouldn’t be surprising for any eventual charge rate increase from heat to be negated by normal taper
