• Depending the mfg date, for early models (with black dust shield) modification of dust shield may be required (Instruction will be provided)

Why does it not fit standard model s? I thought the brakes were identical on the long range and plaid?

The kit is for S Plaid & Long Range, and X Plaid w/black calipers that has upright - Not for standard S & X with red calipers due to the difference in spindles.

Standard S & X Front Spindle (Caliper is axle mount)

Plaid S/X, Long Range Front Upright (Caliper is radial mount)

See above post for clarification between standard S/X models and Plaid (incl. Long Range) due to different spindles & calipers.
If you have S (Plaid or Long Range) the kit will fit.
