To protect the screen or not to?

It won’t void your screen warranty either. If anything, just remove it before any service if you’re having screen issues.

    Black Gemini Wheels?

Save the money and just buy wheel covers. Tons of threads on options. The silver doesn’t show that much behind the wheel covers. Moot point for new Y buyers anyways as the Gemini wheels are dark now.

To protect the screen or not to?

    A what and why?

To protect the screen or not to?

I haven’t had one on my 2019 Model S and have had zero problems; scratches/scuffs on the screen in 5 years. Now I did install a screen protector on my Model Y and Model 3. Haven’t had any issues, they won’t void your warranty. Are they necessary no, do they give you a cheap sense of mental...

    Demo car has scratches

Thanks for confirming and proving with first hand experience that a demo Tesla is sold as new. It’s not about faith, it’s about reality.

    Demo car has scratches

And the world is flat too right? Not even worth it anymore. Apparently you know more than @ucmndd and I.

    Demo car has scratches

Please link or share this data from reputable sources. Unless you’re doing an overnight demo, you’re driving a demo for 20-30 mins. Most people who test drive have never driven a Tesla and are just getting a feel for it. They aren’t beating on the demo for 30 mins. Sure they will have dings and...

    Demo car has scratches

There is no break in period for an EV. Is there actual data that shows a demo car lasts 50% as long as a non-demo car? Not really, usually when you’re unfamiliar with something you actually take it easy. Think about when you drove your first new Tesla off the lot. Did you damage it trying to...

    Long time lurker, 1st Accident

Start by reporting to your insurance company. If the other party reports the accident to their insurance, their insurance would contact yours. Never admit fault. As for your repairs, it may be cheaper to see if you can get the repairs fixed via dent repair since it’s a lease return. As long as...

    Model 3 totaled?

    Yup, looks totaled to me.

    Demo car has scratches

Before paying to get it fixed at a body shop see how deep the scratch is. Is it through the clear coat and down to the base layer of paint? If the scratch is just in the clear coat all you need an orbital buffer and some compound, easy fix.

Long-Range M3 or Long-Range MY for local driving, no commute

For local driving, no commute, go with the SR Model 3.

    My 2023 Model 3 got totaled :(

It should, if it doesn’t you may have something wrong with it and could have Tesla look at it.

How and when is the Tesla-brand service worth it? Do outside services affect the warranty?

For simple things like tires, any reputable service place can handle it. I recently had my Model S tires changed at Americas Tire and had no issues. Don’t use Tesla for tire service, other than rotations. They charge a lot more them Americas Tire or Firestone. Anything major, take it to Tesla...

    Refused delivery on MYP

Never called BS for the OP refusing, just asking for pictures. Usually when there’s such terrible build quality people take pictures now as proof of the issues. Considering how the post started: What was expected here? Considering the OP got a new VIN within an hour of taking the refusal...
