    Newb: Winter Cold Weather Charging?

I live near Toronto and have similar conditions. You can not make that trip in one charge - even in the summer. Leave with close to 100% and precondition the car before departure (this heats the cabin and battery) while plugged in then drive.. Drive to a convienient supercharger with that as...

250 - would be the top - I don’t think I would get much use from it. Also you did not answer my question - is it the 345 model?

    Austin or Freemont

I would not be too influenced by the 250KW charging, I don’t SC charge often and don’t let the battery go much below 20% and have not seen charging above 170Kw. Get the car you want.

Question by 'LikesToys' on marketplace listing 'Parts/accessories (Ont, Canada)'

Hi - I live reasonably close to Whitby and am interested in the CCS Adapter. Is it the CCS 1 on the Tesla web site quoted for $345? I have a MY LR - if it works I would offer 200 cash or etransfer and pick up.

Should cabin be hot when charging?

I turn the hvac system off when the car is in the garage. If you like precondition the car for 10 min before departing.

Do I need an SSD or USB stick?

Get something with a usb-c cable - rather than have it stick out and be hit with something in the glove compartment. If you use USB music you would be better off with an SSD as typically they have more space.

Suggestions on protecting the USB stick?

Why not use a USB cable, or better yet a USB SSD thats on a cable. I use that and it works great.

What battery is in the Model Y LR RWD?

The Mobile Connector is the best value and offers the most long term options. I have been using it for 5 months and it charges somewhere around 7.5Kw per hour. I didnt expect to need to use it in other conditions, but then repainted the garage floor and couldn’t park in it for 2 weeks. Mobile...

Terrible service experience, why my 2023 Model S is a regrettable purchase

Hopefully you opted out of their reconciliation process and can hire a lawyer. Lots of headaches but hang in till you get your money back - or what about those US lemon laws.

Can I turn off TACC and just get speed controlled cruise (phantom braking issue again)

Every time I go under a specific bridge on a sunny day, TACC slows down and gets totally confused by the shadow of the bridge above - this one bridge is at an angle to the road under it (the one I am on), and the road I am on is curved. TACC hits the breaks there every single time - I just turn...

How do you listen to music?

Unfortunately I have to Bluetooth music from the iPhone to the car which causes some loss in quality although I can live with it given other road noises. I use somewhat uncommon streaming sources with high res music such as Tidal, Qobos via Roon ARC which streams from home to my iPhone. Roon...

How's your experience with Tesla / Apple iMessage been?

I turned on messaging in the Tesla and reluctantly allowed my contacts to be copied, then verbally asked Siri to composed a text message and stated the name of the person to send it to. I expected iMessage to send the message to an iCloud user - all very Apple Standard - I do this often while...

    Range analysis unavailable

I had a similar problem when I turned off a privacy setting in the car for sharing charging stats with Tesla. Make sure you share the data otherwise the App can’t see the charging stats.
