I got the retrofit done in October 2023. Everything was fine and no overnight drain. It only started happening after one of the March 2024 updates. From there it was losing 3-4% overnight.

So the options are: take it to SC for this FW update for the trunk module or wait and see which OTA update contains this trunk module FW update.

Interesting. I'm on stock setup and when i had spacers on for a short period, i noticed the passenger side had more of this "poke" out than drivers side. I've since removed the spacers so it's not as noticeable, but now that i've seen it, i know it's there.

I'm guessing "power cycle" as in a soft reboot by holding down the steering wheel scroll wheels down simultaneously until the screen goes black...

I installed it but still have it unplugged. I think i read somewhere (on this forum?) that this update didn't' solve the issue. May be in the 2024.12.XX ones.

interesting turn of events. My trunk doesn't work at all now. Doesn't seem to be getting any power. used emergency latch to open from inside the trunk after crawling in through back seat. pulled trunk open and there's no light illuminating the button. made a service appt.

i did a soft reset last night and came to a car this morning that was pretty much a hard reset. all driver profiles gone, settings reset, trip mileage all reset, seats, bluetooth, everything. so i guess connect the plug before doing a software update?

Yep. already a difference. 2 hrs after i disconnected, the car is quiet, "T" logo next to charge port is off and even the widget on my phone shows 2 hours since last active, or whatever that timing is. Before the most time it would show is ~2-3 minutes.

Same issue here. Car not sleeping as of the last month/1.5 months. I don't have the HVAC errors, but definitely losing 5%+ of charge when not plugged in daily. 2020 M3P and got the power trunk retrofit done back in October 2023. I do tend to use the screen/phone app more often to close trunk...

yes, it def takes some time getting used to. ive stopped hitting the latch now, but the lower opening height is still noticeable.

The seats def look like the sport seats. you can see the extra headrest padding.

Not to derail, but @GreenHokie - that is one clean and well organized garage.

It makes the outer "C" outline the brake light and the original center slits remain the blinker. But this only works for on the more recent Model Y/3 tail lights with the center yellow blinker.

oh geez, that sounds like a total pain and very frustrating. Wonder if your 2019 is close to the 2018/2019 cut over that makes it incompatible. Hope you get it resolved soon.

curious, does the hyperflash also show on screen and you can hear sound or does the on screen signal/sound proceed as normal and you wouldn't be able to tell it's "hyperflashing?"

Tested out this morning and you are correct. Adjusted height lower and saved via button hold/beep. Next open was to that low height. Set back to highest level and saved again. So it certainly is height adjustable to any level, just doesn't open as wide/high as the manual struts.

It cannot. I'm able to push mine up just a tad more (no real difference) and hold the button until it beeps. But that does nothing as it opens back to the original height. Mine looks like @JayPaul's. And yes, @terranx's white M3P opening does seem a tad higher than the retrofit. The retrofit...

Ah, was wondering if the opening height was the same as the current models with the power trunk from factory.

They're the TSportline TS5's i did-up in bronze. Stock height. Could look lower b/c of camera angle and taller tires.

I had a similar noise when running the AC. SC took frunk area apart and it was a sticker/label that was coming off and flapping around when the AC was running. At least that's what i was told and after that visit, no more noise.

Yep. Definitely doesn't open as much as the trunk w/ manual struts. I've bumped my head a few times on the trunk bump stops. I'm able to push mine further up just a tad and hold the button till it beeps, but it doesn't save that max height. always opens back to the original opening height. not...

Yes, they use the existing trunk trim and modify it for the button. My trunk trim was scratched up enough to know it's still the original piece they modified.

Forgot to mention, button is backlit. A nice touch.

yep. instead of cost savings by cutting from areas folks find necessary, save cost, cut out the extra letters, and leave it as a "T"

same. curious on the performance version. Not sure i like the spelled out "T E S L A" on the back. Put a logo from factory and people remove the logo and add letters to spell it out. Spell it out and people replace it with a logo.

Yup. Toggled "Joe mode" off and sound is back to normal (what i'm used to). I had Joe mode on this entire time from when it was first available and now it makes a difference. Guess this update finally got it right so Joe mode actually made a difference.
