Finally received 2023.12.1.1 on my 2021 Tesla Model Y LR (No FSD)

I called up Tesla and the rep said it "should be fine" and he wasn't aware of Tesla changing the tire size over the last year or so. My car was manufactured in March 2021 (Tesla Model Y - LR w/ 19" Gemini Wheels). So I made the purchase, there is a 30-day return policy if they don't fit.

Tesla is insane asking people $10,000 for FSD. Even if FSD, was actually Full Self Driving, it still would not be anywhere close to worth $10K.

Insurance doesn't cover FSD, period. It doesn't matter if you purchase it with the car. If you don't believe me, read your auto policy. Auto policies exclude software.

I feel fortunate that I live within distance of Fremont, they were able to get the cable and install it the same day. I intentionally drove to the Fremont service center though.

Good to know, but I think those of us with `2020.47.104` don't have a path forward yet. You were on an earlier build which was probably green-lighted to move forward.

If anyone's cars shipped with 2020.47.104 and they were able to move off of it, it'd be interesting to know. So far I don't think anyone with this version has been able to move forward to the 2021 release.

I picked my Model Y up on March 19th and I'm still on 2020.47.104; my car was built in March 2021 as well.

Yea, just try to wait it out until we get our 2021 software update. If it continues to occur after that then I think we have a hardware problem. But my money is on it being a software issue.

Yup, happened with my wife in the car; she was very thrilled. lol I rebooted the car with the 2 finger steering wheel trick and the screen became responsive about 3 minutes after the screen turned back on. I'm really looking forward to getting my first software update.

Honestly not surprised. So far my experience with Tesla service has been god awful. I had an appointment for March 25th, and now my app says: "You have an unread message from your service team."If click that button it now shows: "April 2nd" and if I try to load the appointment it hangs forever.

Yup, same here. I really bet it's a bug in the Factory software. Once our cars are updated to 2021, I'm sure the bug will go away. I also think that maybe Tesla doesn't allow software updates if the car has a service appointment scheduled.

The fact that it persisted after an update, which restarts the vehicle highly implies a hardware issue. That's seriously unfortunate. It seems concerning that two of you are hitting the same issue.

It's because we scheduled pickup in Fremont. Also I wouldn't compare 5-seater deliveries to 7-seater deliveries.

I think it's important to go to the Delivery Center with the mindset that you will have this car for YEARS. It's okay to wait an extra 1-3 weeks and reject delivery.

Tesla just updated the delivery time for the Bay Area on new orders to 1-2 weeks. So for those of us with existing orders, I'd expect we should be hearing back rather soon.
