Well that's good to know. I thought I could just do a plug and play with my existing 10.25" one. Honestly they seem to find a new one every month to release anyway instead of updating the old models so I'll pass for now.

I have the 10" version and it's absurd that you can't adjust the brightness or even turn it completely off. Thought this might have it. Other than the front camera feature I don't really think these are that useful anymore.

Is there any way to turn the screen completely off? I've gotten over the novelty of it and really only use it for the front camera when needed. At night, even the "Off" with the clock the screen itself is still on, which causes a glare for me with ceramic tint since it's close to the driver...

After using it for a year I have it say it's not as useful as I initially thought. During the hot summer it was unbearable since the unit pretty much blocks the air flow. I turned off the bluetooth connection but for some reason my phone won't connect to the tesla automatically on a call even...

I’ve been having this problem too in a ‘21 MY. sometimes skipping track fixes it or I have to completely log out and reconnect the QR code. Frustrating.

Sadly, for the Y it seems, the brake no longer functions, only the turn signals and driving lights. But at least it's not annoying anymore haha.

Does cutting the red wires only disable the flashing or does it disable the brake light also?

Can you have navigation directions come directly from the internal speaker while in CarPlay?

I actually really like it and would do it again. I love the front camera and just being able to glance down for map info. The only BT issues I seem to have now is if I leave the car and go back to it quickly, it seems it can't find my phone again...haven't figured out how to fix that other...

Does anyone know how to use the built in GPS antenna? Now that Apple Music is native app, I just want to run Google maps or Waze on the screen directly to the antenna and not use the phone.

I agree, the display is way too bright at night it's distracting. I couldn't find a way to adjust it either, which is kinda lame. I don't even use that screen since it's not of much use. I like have Maps up and then having the cameras on screen. In an ideal world it would be amazing to have...

The carplay connection from iphone to Hansshow is pretty reliable. However, the issue I have is the bluetooth from the unit to Tesla always drops and sometimes won't connect. I would have to unpair and repair.

Seems like all the videos for install have been with the Intel LR Y. I have a Intel performance and was surprised I had to run through the firewall for power (it was in the instructions). All the videos make it seem like it's straight plug and play. Best thing to do is just search for videos...

One problem I have with convex mirrors is on the driver side, it will not go back far enough and you will see too much of the car depending on your seating position. I had to break off some tabs to allow it to go farther back, but still not where I would like it.

Nah the issue is with the measurements. I just measured centered and eyeballed it...looks good enough for now.

Does anyone have tips on putting the rear emblem back? I had put the "TESLA" letters but didn't like it that much, but now I don't have a template of the original position to put back a badge :(

On the flip side you could say you already spent $70k what's another $300? I got it and don't regret it. I thought the auto open/close would be gimmicky but I really like it.

Wow I had the same alignment problem. Steering wheel was visibly turned to the right while going straight. Never noticed it until I went on a long drive with straights. Had it fixed at the SC, but seems like it's starting to go back over...

I have a 2021 and use the 8bitdo w/ a PS5 controller and no issues. Granted, I played with it a couple times and haven't used it again...

I had noises but ended up being two simple fixes: License plate frame and adjusting the rubber stops on the liftgate.

Not sure why the Yakima wouldn't work? It's just standard size crossbars for the model Y, nothing special. I currently have an Inno, but have used Yakima and Thule boxes on OEM and aftermarket racks, they're all pretty much the same.
