    Aftermarket Wheels on Model 3

Sport V2s look 100x better painted/dipped black or charcoal! If only Tesla would deliver them that color.

Available Selling Model Y 19" inch OEM Gemini wheels and covers from my 2023 model Y brand new! for $600 (No TPMS) San Diego

They can fit the Model 3 with spacers and the right size tires. Not Plug and Play though. @OldPro there are a few threads on this topic, if you're interested in making it work.

M3P - Who switched from a (true) sports car?

I agree the stock suspension sucks, but the M3P is an absolute bargain right now at $44k after rebates. No dealer markups. No dealership/Finance Office hassle. Invest in lighter/wider wheels, good rubber, and some coilovers and it’s a weapon on the street/track.

MPP Super Sport vs Ohlins R&T review

I watched the video, and I’ll be the first to say that this is not a comfort kit, but I don’t think it’s as bad as they made it out to be. I drive around at 7 clicks from full stiff(Sometimes 4 clicks) and my wife has never once complained that the ride was too harsh. In the video they kept...

Ohlins R&T Coilovers with Swift Springs!

If that is your application and desires, I’m not sure why you would’ve chosen this kit. It’s literally one of the sportiest/stiffest kits available. There are multiple better options for your use case. Live and learn. I would either order a softer set of Swift springs or remove the kit...

Any regrets lowering/upgrading suspension on your M3P?

No regrets. That being said, there are a number of different options and I would encourage doing your research to decide which is the best for you and your desired outcome. IMO, the stock suspension is one of the few shortcomings of the M3P, and quality coilovers can really take it to the next...

Vendor ► APEX Wheels | 20" VS-5RS Sprint Line Forged Group Buy

Sorry, but you don’t find it slightly disingenuous to post up a bunch of photos in a group buy thread that misrepresent how the wheels for sale will actually look on the car once received? You don’t actually have a set of these wheels available to put on a car for photos yet?

ohlins R&T - rear rubber isolator (debate on leaving on or remove?)

Yes, I did. No it doesn’t bottom out all the time with 12K springs in the rear. In fact, I don’t recall it bottoming out at all over the past few weeks it has been installed. Keep in mind, I am utilizing the upper spring isolator, which adds a little bit of height. I’m also running at 7 Clicks...

Ohlins R&T Coilovers with Swift Springs!

I agree, but “Rock Hard” implies that they are VERY stiff at 20 clicks and that hasn’t been my experience. I’ll go as far as to say that if you have these at 20 clicks from full stiff and they are rock hard, something is wrong. These are in no way a “comfort” suspension. They are marketed as...

Ohlins R&T Coilovers with Swift Springs!

If your stock springs are rock hard, there's a possibility they weren't installed correctly. Possibly too much pre-load? Have you tried 20 clicks from the opposite direction, in case you are 20 click from full soft instead? I have mine set at 7 clicks from full stiff and they're great!

Vendor Redwood Motorsports - Official factory 'Road & Track' Ohlins kit release, pre-order, specs, RWMS Ohlins accessories, and discussion!

Two week update: The car has settled to a 1.25” drop on all corners. I had it aligned and it drives even smoother than before. The height is just about perfect! It clears all the speed bumps in my development and I haven’t had any issues with scraping or rubbing. The suspension is dead quiet and...

Why all the sudden that model 3 is available for the new inventory on tesla.com?

It is because it is the end of Q3 and they do a big push at the end of each quarter to get as many vehicles out as possible.

iPhone 14 + wireless charging pad

Have you tried an Apple case? The Leather and Silicone Apple cases work fine for us.

ohlins R&T - rear rubber isolator (debate on leaving on or remove?)

That's what I figured. Thanks for confirming. I'm running 0mm preload(rear) and sitting 1.25" lower in the back, while retaining the spring isolator.

ohlins R&T - rear rubber isolator (debate on leaving on or remove?)

I can’t come up with a GOOD reason to not use it on the 3, but use it on the Y. I could understand if they said to leave it off both vehicles, but to keep it on one and not the other is odd to me. I decided to keep it anyway and am happy I did. I was still able to achieve a 1.25” drop, while...

iPhone 14 + wireless charging pad

I rock mine without a case and have no problem charging. My wife’s has the Apple silicone case and it works fine. Must depend on the case you’re using.

Same. It doesn't make any sense to me to leave them out, unless you are going for the greatest amount of drop possible. I'd say it adds 1/4" tops.

Vendor Redwood Motorsports - Official factory 'Road & Track' Ohlins kit release, pre-order, specs, RWMS Ohlins accessories, and discussion!

I installed mine tonight. Took about 5 hours by myself, in the garage using floor jacks. I dropped 1” all around and have the dampers set at 10 clicks from full stiff. I kept the rear spring isolator in and lowered the ride height to compensate for the thickness of the isolator. I took it for a...

Ohlins R&T Coilovers with Swift Springs!

Bro, I just installed mine tonight and they are awesome! I dropped 1” all around and have the dampers set at 10 clicks from full stiff. I kept the rear spring isolator and lowered the ride height to compensate for the thickness of the isolator. I took it for a nice long drive, and it was not...

Vendor Redwood Motorsports - Official factory 'Road & Track' Ohlins kit release, pre-order, specs, RWMS Ohlins accessories, and discussion!

I'm curious why Ohlins would recommend keeping them in the Y, but not in the 3? Possibly better performance without them, but increased NVH? Why not make it an option for both or explain the +/- of using/not using them?

Vendor Redwood Motorsports - Official factory 'Road & Track' Ohlins kit release, pre-order, specs, RWMS Ohlins accessories, and discussion!

Anybody know why Ohlins recommends that the Model Y retain the Rear Top Spring Isolator, but recommends removing it on the 3? I'm tempted to keep it and adjust my rear ride height to compensate for the added height. Thoughts?

Ohlins R&T Coilovers with Swift Springs!

Thank you. I already have the Ohlins kit coming. Should be here tomorrow! Did you use the recommended settings in the manual or did you run different settings? The reason I ask is the manual states that using their settings should result in ~20mm drop, but it doesn't specify if that is on a SR+...

Ohlins R&T Coilovers with Swift Springs!

Care to post some pics and give us a review of the kit? How do you like it? How is the ride compared to stock? How low did you go? Etc?

Ohlins R&T Coilovers with Swift Springs!

My Ohlins Road & Track kit should arrive tomorrow! I'm eager to get these installed and keeping my fingers crossed the ride is bearable. Worst case, I'll swap to the Swift springs.

Vendor Ohlins - Road & Track DFV Coilover Systems - Spring into May Sale - 10% off all kits!

You could get the Ohlins R&T kit, since it is easier for you to get, and try it out. If the ride ends up being too stiff for your liking, you can replace the springs with softer Swift springs. Also, if the most important thing is a comfy ride, you might consider swapping the 20" Uberturbines for...

Would the Car Have Hit One of These Traffic Stanchions? [on NOA]

Yeah, I think it would have hit the Stanchion without your intervention. It was doing fine until the stanchions protruded out into your lane of travel.

Is my 2022 Model 3 Performance totaled?

Honestly, I don’t think it’s as bad as it looks. Doesn’t look like any structural damage, or airbags blown. As long as the battery wasn’t damaged, I’d say not totaled. It’ll be gone for a little while though. Needs passenger side door skins, passenger side front and rear quarter panels, trunk...

would you considering sacrificing range to get extended tire life?

I put new wheels on at the same time, so it’s hard to say exactly how the tires effected range. However, my first 6,000 miles on the OEM Uberturbines and Pirellis I averaged 310 Wh/mi, and my last 10,000 miles on the current setup I am averaging 318 Wh/mi. So, not a huge penalty for wider...

would you considering sacrificing range to get extended tire life?

I have a theory. I believe the 235 width tires are undersized for this car, given it’s weight and torque output. Sure they work, but they wear out fast. I swapped out the OEM Pirelli 235/35R20 tires for Michelin PS4S 255/35R20 tires, which have a weight rating of 1,609lbs instead of the OEM...

Ohlins R&T landing in the USA as soon as May

We need some real world reviews of this kit! Does anyone have them installed yet?

Vendor Ohlins - Road & Track DFV Coilover Systems - Spring into May Sale - 10% off all kits!

Looking forward to a review of these units! I’m especially interested in how harsh they are for daily driving and whether they make any noise. The rear not using either the top or bottom rubber spring isolators concerns me slightly, but hopefully they don’t make a bunch of noise. 🤞

Side panel for driver seat popped off!

True, except there was about a 5 week wait to get an appointment at my local SC and about a 30min drive each way, and I was able to fix it myself in about 30 seconds. Good tip on the screw fix. Next time I’m going to the SC I’ll see if I can get them to swap the pins for screws.

Side panel for driver seat popped off!

Same thing happened to me. There’s a plastic rivet underneath that popped out. I was going to just zip tie it, but found the plastic river on the carpet and popped it back it. I used the passenger seat as a reference to see what was missing. Hope that helps.

Can you drive I80 all the way across the US with a M3P with tesla chargers?

Because it’s faster that way. The charging slows down as the battery fills up.
