    FSD free trial

After using it during the trial a few times I truly can’t comprehend the decision, apparently made by a lot of people, to drop five figures on this. That it can do what it can do at all is undeniably incredible, but on city streets it’s not trustworthy enough for me to relax in the slightest. I...

Apple Music Appears in Developer Version 2022.40.50 of Tesla OS

Excellent. Tidal has been fine but I’ll save money using Apple Music by bundling all my Apple services together. It’ll be like getting premium connectivity for freeeeeee! Someday maybe CarPlay??

Teslas in Calif. with no front plate: Question

I’ve got a couple parking tickets in Santa Monica, but none are fixit tickets where I’m required to put it on.
  5. Canyonero

Ok, I tried Tidal, and…(and “premium” audio too)

You can’t download tracks to an external SSD for the simple reason that you’d basically be, you know, ripping the music to your personal hard drive which is what streaming music was invented to put a stop to.

Maximum Tires Size Model Y Performance?

Yes, that’s the stock size for the rear.

Maximum Tires Size Model Y Performance?

I did but then when I went to check out it made me enter my vehicle, and once I did it wouldn’t let me buy the non-OEM sizes. I was as surprised as you are. So was the guy on the phone actually.

Maximum Tires Size Model Y Performance?

I sold mine on offerup in about a month for $700. They had 1200 miles and one had been repaired when it got a puncture at around 300 miles. Price it to sell and you’ll have no problem since a new set is probably around $1700.
  9. Canyonero

Maximum Tires Size Model Y Performance?

I bought them from discount tire, which in SoCal is Americas Tire. I think the website wouldn’t let me order non-OEM size so I had to call and have them place the order over the phone.

Maximum Tires Size Model Y Performance?

No rubbing. Considered the Michelins but they were unavailable, more expensive, and reviewed slightly below the Continentals on tire rack (for whatever that’s worth). Very pleased with the look and the slight but noticeable softening of the ride.

    Elon Musk

Just saw the Hitler thing, and also considering selling my shares and my MYP. But I also think that nothing is more important than transitioning away from fossil fuels, and that Tesla and Musk are at the forefront of that change. So I do want Tesla to continue to succeed, but would love to see...

Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 on Uberturbines- 265/35 & 275/35R21

Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 on Uberturbines- 265/35 & 275/35R21

Interesting, I’ll need to look at mine and see about the camber. Don’t imagine rubbing would be a problem with the 35s in the rear, but I have no idea how to go about adjusting the camber. Any tips?

Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 on Uberturbines- 265/35 & 275/35R21

New App and Charging Info is propaganda rather than data

I'd contend quite a few people do, as there are definitely better $60k cars. Or if not to save on gas, at least to not use gas at all.

Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 on Uberturbines- 265/35 & 275/35R21

I don't. But I'm enjoying my Continental DWS06+, and they're rated slightly better than the Michelins on so I'd suggest giving them a look. The Pirellis on this chart are well below both of those. https://www.tirerack.com/tires/surveyresults/surveydisplay.jsp?type=UHPAS

Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 on Uberturbines- 265/35 & 275/35R21

I sold my summer P-Zeros on Offerup within about 4 weeks. The guy had just taken delivery of a 7-seat MY and had purchased the 21" wheels from someone else, needed tires for them. Listed them for $800 and got $700. Probably easier to sell summer tires in winter here in SoCal, but if you price...

    Buying Michelin Pilot AS4

They make sizes that work (better, IMO). I’m running DWS06+ 265/40/21 & 295/35/21. Very happy with them so far. Ride is a little more comfortable, noise isn’t better or worse really, and they offer a little more protection from naughty curbs that try to sneak up on me. Advantage of getting the...

    Model Y Performance AS Tires

The rears will be super stretched if they fit at all. Wheels are 10.5“, 265mm = 10.433”. At the very least the rims will be even more susceptible to curb rash than they already are with 275s. I went with Continental DWS06+ 265/40/21 front and 295/35/21 rear from discount tire. Very happy with...

Suspension Clearances for Wider / Taller tires

Lots of folks have done 265/285/40/21 with either no or very minimal rubbing in front. None in mine. I’m using 295/35 in the back with no problems at all. Ride is definitely a little more comfortable, and personally I think it looks better as well.

Maximum Tires Size Model Y Performance?

Perhaps, but if efficiency is paramount then they should put narrower rims on ICE vehicles as well, no? I think Tesla’s best insight has been understanding people are willing to adopt EVs broadly if they don’t have to sacrifice things like performance, utility, and aesthetics just to squeeze...

Maximum Tires Size Model Y Performance?

Yeah… https://teslamotorsclub.com/tmc/posts/6280098/ TL;DR I ended up with 295/35/21 in the rear, and I’m happy enough. Another guy in that thread did 40s and they seem to fit.

Full Set of OEM 21" Pirelli P Zeros for Model Y Performance

1,246 miles on these. Tread, sidewalls, acoustic foam are all still in great shape. I did a few 0-60s on these (who doesn't?), but never any aggressive cornering. Front left wheel had a small puncture that was professionally repaired (see photo). Good as new. $800 OBO, can meet anywhere...

Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 on Uberturbines- 265/35 & 275/35R21

Super Embarrassing Update! Turns out they installed 295/35/21 in the rear, not 295/40/21. Yeah, so I only took a quick glance at the tires when they were installed. It was pouring and I needed to get home, so I just assumed they'd installed the correct rears. And we all know what they say...

Holiday Update (2021.44.25.2)- A Big Disappointment

I don't think this update is perfect by any stretch, but I find the sheer volume of blind internet outrage on here over this software update to be hilarious. I swear, some of you treat losing the ability to constantly monitor your tire pressure as though Elon just personally peed on your front door.

Ok, I tried Tidal, and…(and “premium” audio too)

At this point it seems like you can download albums or playlists but not individual songs, but someone correct me if I'm wrong. I think it downloads to the Tesla's internal storage, which is different from any USB drives connected in the console or glovebox. I'm not sure how much storage that...

I don’t think the Spotify app ever worked well, right up to the latest update when I started using Tidal. But in any case I hope you’re right. I think this interface is decent but still missing some functionality that you find on the desktop versions, which the Tesla screen seems large enough...

Tesla Light Show: Custom Show Creation

This I’d love to see. Do they play the same song? If so, if you close the doors close enough to simultaneously and only play sound out of one car the lights should be close enough to get the effect without the two tracks sounding out of sync. Otherwise I don’t imagine there’s any technical way...

    Anyone Get Latest UI Update?

But… that’s the only place on a Tesla to look for anything. The alternative is just to not have it at all, so I’ll take this. Used it for the first time today and found it very handy on a car with less than stellar visibility. That said, it’s in the wrong place. With my right hand at 2 o’clock...

    V11 Custom Light Show!

Hoping I’ll have some time this week to play around with a couple tracks. The repository is an awesome resource. It looks like, at least for now, it’s only possible to load one light show into the car at a time, it doesn’t support multiple shows yet. So far I couldn’t get it to work at all...

Ok, I tried Tidal, and…(and “premium” audio too)

I’ve read you can stream HiFi if you use a Wi-Fi hotspot, haven’t confirmed this yet though. Agree that the downloading thing is super inconvenient and limiting, and having to set up my phone’s hotspot every time I start a drive isn’t a great workaround either.

    polestar? serious competition?

Lol that is definitely a fair comparison. You’re right, with Teslas everywhere it’s just good to see something different that doesn’t look like a wide mouth bass, but it’s also not going to win any design awards.

Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 on Uberturbines- 265/35 & 275/35R21

Just installed the 265/40/21 + 295/40/21 set! Here’s my initial impressions from the 25 mile drive home: The road feels smoother overall. Big bumps are still noticeable, but the smaller stuff feels dampened. That’s good! Take this with a grain of salt because it’s raining hard and I was...
