Did you ever get this permanently fixed? I’m having a similar problem, my rear brakes make a loud screeching noise whenever I shift in the park and again when they release shifting into drive.

Change the air filters. The carbon in the filters can take on a sweet paint-like chemical smell as they age.

You said this only happens at home. I vaguely recall a discussion in which this was found to happen after using summon. And this has happened to me back when I owned a S. Not sure if it’s still an issue. Are you using summon when parking in the garage?

Thanks, all. Good advice. I’m starting to suspect a refrigerant leak. While my AC works fine, I’ve read that a paint smell might indicate a leak. Perhaps there could be a leak small enough to not noticeably affect AC but still be detectable by smell.

Sorry about that. I just tested it and you’re right, Camp Mode does not turn on the rear blower. Dog Mode does, but that might be embarrassing for your passengers, with a big screen showing a wagging dog and informing everybody that their owner will be right back!
