Customization of every little detail of exterior

Front plate frames are not mounted at delivery in most states from what I understand. May be state dependent (NY in my case) Mostly anything custom interior-wise ages like milk in my experience. These things are sleek and classy already. Please reconsider this “pimp my ride” behavior...

Car Colorizer Allows You to Customize The Looks of Your Tesla

There are no junior devs as tesla They just make everyone a senior dev

Picked up my Tesla in early December, worst car I've ever owned.

I think you’ll be happier with some gaudy ICE BMW with oversized grill and an interior like a German brothel.

    What a dumb thread.

Going to order a new Model 3 performance. Should I consider the long range AWD?

If stealth was still available, I would had taken that over LR with accel boost. I don’t feel like I’m missing much. The car already handles how I like it. Already fast. But the P on the other hand, has some terrific tires that really grip.

    Extension Cord Sidewalk Push Back

I’m a newer owner who only home charges. I may had mistakenly assumed that the charger and car talk to each other at some level to identify and recognize only whitelisted cars. But I’m sure that for a tech mind, a simple monitoring app could watch the IP from the charger and send an alert...

Full matrix headlight functionality just approved by NHTSA!

That is amazingly complex! It is unnerving in once sense, and beautiful in another. I remember buying single halogen bulbs not long ago.

Going to order a new Model 3 performance. Should I consider the long range AWD?

Get the performance. We went LR plus acceleration boost. But I need the extra range that the LR gives me. Plus, it’s a daily driver (40,000 miles a year average) and having the tires of the P only last 20,000 miles a set is a non-starter for me (That’s like $2500 in annual tire cost). The...

2022 Model 3 SR+ fan noise coming from frunk.

These cars are always making weird space ship or coffee grinder sounds.

Proximity sensor getting fooled by oreo cookie highway lane marking?

The car can think very fast. But it is stupid when it comes to nonstandard or accidental markings. I’d simply accept that the car is doing the most logical thing it can when it is presented with markings that it doesn’t understand. Thankfully there is a 200lb meatbag behind the wheel that...

The public does not understand EV range

We really just need a larger rapid charging solution infrastructure (I.e. superchargers). It’s too bad the Buck Break Better bill did not pass. We really need to have the supercharger network highly visible to potential future owners who sit on the fence. You’ll never overcome range anxiety...

The public does not understand EV range

Yup. EVs (and electric anything) only have outsourced internal combustion…. Also, these things will sell great in Ten Gallon Texas. Texans are furiously patriotic about products made in Texas (especially vehicles).

    Model 3 Snow Mode

Good! There was wayyyyy too much rear yaw in snow. Shocking really. I’ve had one-legged (no limited slip) RWD V8 vehicles behave more predictable in the snow than this car.

    F80 m3 owner, ordered a M3P - looking for feedback

I think you should have a dedicated track car if that’s your thing. Don’t be limited by keeping daily driver requirements. The M3P handles great for what it is, but it’s still a heavy pig with a couple of tricks up it’s sleeve.

Full matrix headlight functionality just approved by NHTSA!

But I like being able to highbeam oncoming drivers. Don’t take my passive aggressive taunt away from me! I also use them to warn oncoming traffic of police running radar ahead of them. So that negates the negative karma of intentionally hibeaming people whom I choose to annoy.

    Extension Cord Sidewalk Push Back

Safety and ADA issues aside, I think this solution looks terrible. It’s easy to overlook one person doing it. But when a bunch of people are doing it, it’s going to be a horror show of frayed charging cables laying all over the place looking very sloppy. You’ll love it when ford gets their...

Buying a model 3 in 2022. Is it worth it?

Compare to the cost increase of gas cars in the same timeframe. Same goes for gas prices. $4+ per gallon versus under $2.50 during the preceding era in our history is a big difference. I’d rather give Uncle Elon $8k more than give some slimebag dealership $8k more. If you are in the USA...

Is performance boost still available for for Model 3 AWD [ Yes ]

I took delivery of my 3LR late last month. Bough the acceleration boost last week from my phone. Car went from very quick to making it seem like everyone is standing still. Very perceptible for what should be only a marginal boost. Very cool. I suggest you get it If you enjoy strong...

Salt damage to 2021 Model 3 in winter?

I always have used fluid film on my prior ICE vehicles. I had it professionally installed on my nice cars ($180 first year, $70 touch-ups every other year) and installed myself in our beaters (2-3 $12 aerosol cans (muh ozone layer!)). Fluid film is fantastic. Nothing rusted at all. Existing...

    Model 3 Performance...Plaid [speculation]

Why? It’s already faster than almost anything that’s not another Tesla (or exotic, purpose built street drag, or high end German stuff). What these cars need is a second gear for highway…. I expect that there will be incremental power upgrades in line with battery technology growth, as time...
