Picked up my Tesla in early December, worst car I've ever owned.

Oh it'll start, but I feel bad for the poor tires I'm scrubbing. I got what I needed to know, that 130 mile range in winter conditions is to be expected. And being surprised that it's that bad is lol-worthy.

I'm just coming back to this thread. You thought that was an exaggeration? I haven't lied about a single number. I have no reason to. I have at least one more over 1100 if you want more.

Lol Service is standing by it. They said "I commend you on your Wh/mi use which is currently 397. That is difficult to accomplish in the cold weather months."

Picked up my Tesla in early December, worst car I've ever owned.

Regen is on and I rarely have to brake. I can go entire trips in the city without touching it once. FWIW when I had a loaner (my car came with non functional AP and cruise control) I was pleasantly surprised at how good the range was. Not a 1:1, but I’d never seen a result as low as the 275...

Picked up my Tesla in early December, worst car I've ever owned.

This is 30 miles at 27 degree outside. I tried to cruise under 65, only getting up to 68 mph max speed once to pass. 48 mph average. Interior temp was set at 67, fan speed 2. Also had to stop for 2 tolls. 390-400 Wh/mi depending on who you believe.

Picked up my Tesla in early December, worst car I've ever owned.

I can count the number of minutes I've been above 80 mph on one hand. I'm going to try and keep it under 70 on my 30 min highway drive to see if it gets under 400. The rest is accurate though.

Picked up my Tesla in early December, worst car I've ever owned.

I've talked to Tesla about it numerous times. The last time was last night where I was told Sentry mode was the reason why I have such a low range, then was ignored when I said it's been turned off since late December to save battery. So update #3 to say "Tesla thinks the car is amazing, no...

Picked up my Tesla in early December, worst car I've ever owned.

I'm driving it about 50 miles each way tonight, i'll provide a 30 min graph that stops before I turn on preconditioning. It'll be around 50-70 mph.

Sorry, missed that one. Typo. Car is stock.

Bro I’m babying this car hard to try and get the range up. You don’t need to believe me. I can show you screenshots of driving 7 miles, averaging 31 mph and topping out at 67 mph. Wh/mi was 455. Is that spirited to you?

But see that's the issue. I have terrible range (450-800 Wh/mi) on short 5 mile trips and people say it's too short, then I have terrible range on longer trips (450 Wh/mi for 120 miles averaging 68 mph) and people say it's too long. This feels like Goldilocks.

I posted the lifetime Wh/mi just as you posted, so you might not have seen it.

Picked up my Tesla in early December, worst car I've ever owned.

Evidently a lifetime average of 441 Wh/mi is to be expected and being charged full supercharger rate for 66kW per hour average charge rate is fine too. Now I know. I guess after hearing many from the Tesla side make fun of the Taycan's 175 mile EPA estimated range I hoped my Tesla would be...

Thank you. It's super annoying. All I hear is "21 inch wheels" and "cabin temp" as reasons why the range is like 35-45% of what it should be. It's just a blanket line people used to explain a Ahh, TIL. See attached. 440 lifetime Wh/mi

Okay? That's what they project, that's not what I'm getting.

If there's an easy way to do that I'll send it. All I know how to grab now is the last month's data from Nikola via screengrab. I just downloaded TeslaFi yesterday and it's not showing historical data.

I'm at 41 psi, I've checked on the coldest days. 66 kW average charge rate, 74 kW max. Images attached that show the charge rate, and cost. 22 kWh total, for $8.75

I have, twice. They've stood by the range and told me that for my 5 mile trips around the city I should expect 100 miles total, and for my highway driving I should expect about 145 miles in 45 degree weather at 68 mph.

Impressive, right? Thankfully my other car is at least is fun to drive.

I think I'd get more money blowing it up on Youtube and writing an article about how much Tesla fawned over my range and told me 100 miles in city driving was actually really good. It'd be nothing if not entertaining.

Picked up my Tesla in early December, worst car I've ever owned.

I picked a new Model 3 Performance in December. I wanted a car for normal city driving and the occasional road trip a few hours away. My other car is a sportscar that is deathly allergic to any temperature below 50 degrees so I thought this would be the perfect addition. I live in a high rise...
