Tesla Pet Liner Modifications (Model 3)

The front tabs on mine seen to work their way upwards over time, but the rear tabs seem to be pretty good at staying put. I've just got myself into the habit of pushing the front tabs down regularly, I reckon about once a week or if I notice. I've never had the whole for cover come loose.

Tesla Model Y - Whilsting Noise Unresolved - Regret ever buying the car

I have a 23 MY and I get some whistling occasionally, but only on very windy days and when it's blowing in certain directions relative to the vehicle. I do have roof bars, so I put it down to that. I don't hear it once I have my music on.

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

For me all functions time out. So I get no response at all.

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

Yes. I can't seem to wake the car at all since updating yesterday.

LFP battery - how often is too often to charge?

I also think it's just a case of managing an EV the same as an ICE. I know when I pull up to the servo, I just fill up the tank without giving it a second thought. Mostly I drive my EV the same way. I let the 'tank' drain to a point the I'm uncomfortable then I fill up. The only difference is I...

Battery Degradation and Care Worries Overblown?

I'm sure it's our there. Is there any literature on how battery degradation compares to loss of efficiency in an ICE motor. I'm sure my old ICE cars use more fuel then when they were new.

    Ear pain in Model Y

I've noticed this pressure imbalance in my previous cars when I have just one window open. It's almost like having a bass drum right next to your head. It's always been resolved by cracking a window in the opposite side of the car. Having said that, I almost always have the windows up on my Y...

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

Has anyone else noticed a change in phone lock behaviour since the latest update 2023.38.6? My vehicle now only unlocks when my phone is very close, say within about 1 m, of the car. It used to be more like 3 or 4 m as my passenger could walk ahead open the door before I got to the car. On...

Tesla App - charge and car controls gone?

This. I had the same issue. Just register the phone to restore functionality. Turn off phone as key in the app. You can then leave Bluetooth on as normal.

Why has Tesla's charging advice changed

I was wondering about this. My observation recently has been that I seem to have much less lift off retardation than I used to. And I need to brake into areas that I didn't before. The difference isn't huge, but certainly noticeable. Good to know it's not just me.

    Model Y Accessories for Australia

I I have the Tesla cover. IMHO I think it's great. The clips you refer to are in the separate door cover sections. I think they fit fine. The issue I think is that because they slot down between the window and the frame, they are prone to being worked upwards over time. I've just become...

Model Y Tow Package available soon from Tesla Australia

That Autobarn hitch is 51 mm according to the dimensional drawing. The Repco hitch is 52 mm according to the title, but no GA provided. 2 inches is 50.8 mm. FWIW I have the Tesla tow bar. I have a 2 inch hitch that measures 51 mm on the tape. It's got plenty of room in the fit to the Tesla...

Roadside Assist when >80km from Tesla S.C.

I have read somewhere that RAC etc are investing in mobile chargers to get you going again. My understanding is that they would be enough to give you 20 km or so of charge to get you to the nearest charging point, similar in principle to the small jerry can of fuel they can supply for ICE vehicles.

Universal Mobile Connector (UMC) in Australia

I'm in the same boat. Recently purchased UMC and it came with the 10A and 15A tails. I tried a couple of times to get it to update but gave up. I have a wall connector, so I primarily use that. I just wanted the UMC to update prior to being needed on a road trip. Alas I think I'll have to make...

    Model Y fridge setup/sub-trunk access

Thanks for the ideas. I ended up making a new split floor which does the trick perfectly.

    Australian Model Y Waiting Room

I had mine processed the same day as I requested payment. Money was registered in Tesla's system within 8 hours. I think it just depends who you're with and which banks they use.

    Model Y Kayak T-Loader

Does anyone have any experience using a Rhino Rack T-Loader with a Model Y? I'm planning on getting the tow pack installed and purchasing the Rhino Rack T-Loader RTL-002 that fits straight into the hitch receiver. Just wondering if there's anything I need to be aware of as I've heard the Model...

    Multi stop navigation in app

Yep, exactly what I was asking. I was just hoping to get ready from the comfort of my couch. I guess I could spend the could of minutes setting up in the car pre-trip.

    Multi stop navigation in app

Sorry if this had been asked elsewhere. My forum search didn't return up anything. Is it possible to add multiple stops to a route in the Tesla app? I'm aware I can do it in Google maps and send this to the car, but would like to be able to do it in the native Tesla app to get SoC predictions.

    My Tesla experience

It's been a while, but in my previous house when we changed to a smart meter it was zero cost and no change to the rates. Not sure what the situation is now. My current property has had a smart meter since we moved in. I've always been on single rate till now. My conditions of going to ToU are...

    My Tesla experience

I agree. I downloaded my usage for the last 12 months (prior to EV) from my retailer (in 30 minute increments) and modelled this against the various rates (flat vs ToU). I found that the difference was next to nothing, with ToU on my current retailer slightly ahead in fact. This means that ToU...

    Model Y fridge setup/sub-trunk access

Nice one. I'll check it out. Your set up looks like how I was thinking. Did you make that false floor yourself?

    Model Y fridge setup/sub-trunk access

I have a compressor style fridge that I have sitting in the trunk. I find that it sits best longitudinally as I can fit the most amount of luggage around it this way. However, it makes access to the sub-trunk quite difficult as it sits partially on top of the sub trunk cover/false floor. Does...

    Model Y RWD sound system

IMHO I think the Spotify streaming is fine. I have Tidal as well, but mostly because I'm set up with reasonable gear at home. In the car, Tidal definitely sounds better to my ear than Spotify in the car, but Spotify also definitely sounds better than radio.

I pick up mine today. Ordered 15 March. RWD white/white Melbourne I think I got lucky.
