I don't disagree. Very questionable they are installing the retrofit and then telling owners there's an ongoing issue. I did mine through the app many months ago when it first was released though and was working 100% fine up until the 2024.8.9 or whatever update.

Positive side, at least it sounds like they unplugged this part which will allow the car to sleep and not have issues. You do lose the function to close the trunk from the screen or app but you can open the trunk from them. Are you able to test and see if you can open/close from the screen...

Yep still same issue and sentry mode corrupting itself. But at least I got the demo for FSD so it’s not all a loss outside of my battery depleting overnight.

Well dang it, I unplugged the cable but of course the other end sucked back into the center console and can't get to it and not sure where exactly it went. I'll keep my SC appointment and let them know it got sucked back in and they might have to remove the center console and reattach. Now...

Takes a pry tool and maybe 30 seconds total once it's popped up to disconnect the canbus. Just did it on mine last night, now no more issues with the unable to charge error but can charge without any issues but also causing the car to not sleep and Sentry Mode not work properly.

Just in case, running 2024.8.7 and this issue is currently present for me and had the retrofit installed for the trunk. I suppose I didn't get 2024.3.10 due to not having FSD. Also having issues with Sentry Mode now not recognizing my home and shutting off so I had to disable it completely or...

Sadly no, but I found the part on eBay that wasn't too terrible in price that should be here next week :(

To also add, the part we’re looking for is also extremely expensive on eBay right now. Some $300+ so hopefully Tesla isn’t going to be a struggle.

That’s tough, I’m hoping they dont give me grief when I go this Saturday. I’m doing the auto trunk retrofit and tacked this on due to the Tparts part no longer working 100%. Oddly I have to do a forced reboot for it to pop up with the Samsung T7 drive. Unplugging and waiting a few minutes does...

Having the same issue with the tparts module, have to reboot the card for it to work it seems. Putting in a request with Tesla to see if I can get the part from them.
