Yes it gets pretty hot. I have my fast charging and fast wireless charging disabled to avoid unwanted battery degradation, so never that hot that it stopped charging. Wireless charging inherently is inefficient and tesla wireless chargers are pretty high power to accomodate so many device...

MarshalEnergy got some good solar deals going on now. But not sure if they do outside Victoria. Whatever kwh you are getting now try to add a hybrid inverter to the mix so that you can easily add a 10-20kwh battery later when they gets cheap as chips. Battery prices are going down very fast as...

Frankly speaking, After my 500+km of driving I didn't find the stalks as a show stopper of any sort. Yes in very weird steering positions I am skipping switching indicators which I wouldn't have if there were stalks. But it is not really a value add as those cases where when the vehicle is...

I don't think there is any issue in stopping charge at any time of the charging process. The thing that happens during calibration at the end of full charge is that it will slowly trickle charge and monitor the voltage. Let's say 420v is the max pack voltage. So when it reaches almost 410v it...

Tesla app works well on all those phones except for the uwb which is yet to arrive in the android app. I tried in many different versions from android 9 all the way to my latest s24ultra with android 14. All worked flawlessly. So nothing to be afraid of for nothing or oneplus.

Both on same software versions? I think it will improve as time goes. suspect would be hairpin motor and new inverter algorithms still getting improved ?? We can only speculate, but still. WLTP range for new M3H LR is 20+km more than 2023 LR. So it should be based on something. May be it's...

If you really intend to make it a side hustle then better to get a OCPP enabled one like occular or many others(~$1-1.5k) and onboard to a public charging platform like Exploren which makes it truly seamless. Makes real sense if you have surplus solar which gets sold to grid for next to nothing.

All I am saying is that reliable and safe third party chargers are dime a dozen and designs are very matured. Home chargers has no use for non-standard SWCAN for vin-locking or billing unless you are living in a mansion with multiple ev's and the relationship between owners is like below: Or...

It won't make a lot of difference as 32A 3 core cabling which gives you 7kw is equally costlier or more and harder to route than 16a 5 core cable which gives you 11kw with the added benefit that it will keep the grid balance. And you can get OEM 11kw/22kw 3-phase chargers at around ~$300-$400...
