Why does Tesla service carry no 18 inch all-season tires?

I live over 400 km, 300 miles from the nearest service centre. So when my wheel was damaged in a slide it requires a part and wheel alignment. Due to the uneven wear, they recommend a tire be replaced. It happens that I can wait and do it somewhere else, but it’s very inconvenient to drive for 4...

New Brunswick third party device centres, which ones have you used?

Service center. Device was an autocorrect for service misspelled, and I can't edit posts here. The issues are 3. 1, sloppy mechanics put the arms of car lifts in the wrong place and compress the seal under the battery, which causes later damage. 2, Clients are not allowed into service bus...

New Brunswick third party device centres, which ones have you used?

Need to do a wheel alignment, I have an error code. Though the wheels look straight, the steering wheel needs to be at 2 o'clock to drive straight. In Fredericton, it's over 400km and 4 hours to get to Halifax, the closest official service centre. Alignment is something that should be checked at...

Can I drive with the charging crd plugged in? The used model 3 ate my charging cable.

On the occasional day that it's cold enough to lose instead gain power, battery would have been lost due to heating anyway if I drive it. Generally at - it takes 6 hours to recharge, but Im not usually using more than half the battery capacity so it doesn't matter. I'm neither an electrician...

Can I drive with the charging crd plugged in? The used model 3 ate my charging cable.

I saw the inner wire, it was attached to the tab. That's what I pulled. The tab did not break off, the entire manual release assembly broke off. it is highly unreasonable that a charger a 120 V 12 amp mobile plug would not create enough heat to keep a handle from freezing in place, given that...

Can I drive with the charging crd plugged in? The used model 3 ate my charging cable.

Yes, I did that, and I did the software updates. I already said in the opening post i've read everything I could and on here about the possible solutions. I also read extensively through the manual.

Charging cable stuck, will not release. Manual release does not work. Extremely expensive quote.

From personal experience pulling moderately hard on the manual release cable does it fact tear it off. I'm not very strong. You were wise to be more patient.

Can I drive with the charging crd plugged in? The used model 3 ate my charging cable.

I suppose could try. obviously the other end can't be plugged in. as for releasing it another way, no, I can't. The screen and the app do not release it, despite the sound of unlocking. If those worked, who would even look for the manual release tab? I'm not being idiotic, and your suggestion...

Can I drive with the charging crd plugged in? The used model 3 ate my charging cable.

I looked through all the discussions about hoot unplug it here, before anyone asks. The manual port release in the trunk ripped completely out, I think it was previously damaged/defective as I can't find an internet reference to that ever happening. Also called Tesla service, they don't have...

Charge port release pull tab broke

I'll one-up you. My pull tab and the 2 foot cable connecting it ripped right out of my trunk. I'm not especially strong. At least I was home, but that probably wouldn't have happened in the first place if i were using a wall connector or supercharger. The charger is still stuck.

About to buy, longtime sustainable/renewable energy enthusiast.

I never implied otherwise. As I said, I can afford decent range now. Maybe wasn't explicit that I could not afford it before, not even a Leaf plus or Kia Soul EV. Bought that 2015 Leaf in 2021 for about 10K CAD. The going rate for used 3s is now over 30K CAD.

About to buy, longtime sustainable/renewable energy enthusiast.

I'm buying a Tesla 3 SR+ (made in 2020, but that has little bearing on the specs), driving about 8 hours round trip to pick it up Feb 2nd. A few years ago I bought a 2015 Leaf from the Montreal, QC area, that took about 18 hours round trip travel due to the limited range. Last year I gave up on...

    Moving to New Brunswick

All EV was taken over by Steele Auto last year then the dedicated EV sales were scrapped. Maybe the service still exists, but I doubt it based on the news articles. They didn't even keep the dedicated website, and that's incredibly easy to maintain. They probably did not want people to assume...
