    Model 3 Performance/Ludicrous Waiting Room

I am still at 6/13-6/30. (SG/black like you). Last time, they did the pushback on the first day (5/29) of my window so if nothing changes tomorrow, then I'll feel a little more optimistic. Also, some joker keeps populating their EDD data in my tracker slot. Look to the left folks!

    Model 3 Performance/Ludicrous Waiting Room

$1k is way out of proportion. Using 15g a week & $.40/g tax, it comes to about $300 a year of tax revenue.

    Model 3 Performance/Ludicrous Waiting Room

I'm doing alright. I go into GT7 and drive around a 23 M3P in VR every once in awhile. It's a pleasant way to pass the time and pick up horrendous driving habits as a bonus.

4/23 order here with 6/13-6/30 EDD nervously reading all these pushback reports for the same date range.

    Model 3 Performance/Ludicrous Waiting Room

Yep, break-in is real. But it's not the speakers, it's our ear/brain becoming conditioned to the overall tonality.
  8. 12B4A

    Model 3 Performance/Ludicrous Waiting Room

Why does anyone expect a <$55k car to outperform an $88k (currently) car? Nobody should even expect it with the $73k AWD S for anything other than 0-60.
  9. 12B4A

    Model 3 Performance/Ludicrous Waiting Room

There's a ton that's going on that we're not aware of and the most likely explanation is a supply chain shortage of some kind. Speculating on these things is a way to pass the time but worrying about it doesn't deliver the car to you any faster. You have to resign yourself to notion that since...

Given both images are CG, my wager is marketing oversight.

    Model 3 Performance/Ludicrous Waiting Room

Only thing I've been able to find with black lettering is the CG CAD-exploded view on the main M3P page. AFAICT, they've never said anything more about brake changes other than the track pad material now coming standard.

Are the notes icon described in the calendar user-added notes? Besides all the data tracking and analysis which is already worth it, this might be a convenient place to track tire mileage since I'm going to have winter/summer tires. You can keep an eye on him...

Right, a MyQ sub and Homelink are equivalent in automation. MyQ does have the added door sensor (up/down) though. Yeah, the choice between a MyQ sub and Homelink depends on the situation.
  15. 12B4A

    Model 3 Performance/Ludicrous Waiting Room

I could go through the reasons why one would want to add automation functionality with secured access but none of that matters. It really boils down to this: what someone else does with their own money is their own decision.
  16. 12B4A

    Model 3 Performance/Ludicrous Waiting Room

I've been going back and forth deciding between MyQ and Homelink. MyQ is $300 for a 10yr sub and Homelink is $350. I already have MyQ installed in my garage ($30) where I can control the door from my watch or phone. The signal path is roughly this: watch/phone sends data via internet through...

Since tires are the side convo: https://shop.tesla.com/product/model-3-18_-photon-wheel-and-winter-tire-package They state these are compatible with 2024+ Model 3s but I'm not sure if that also applies to the M3P. Anybody found anything yet?

18” photon (highland) wheels on M3P??

https://shop.tesla.com/product/model-3-18_-photon-wheel-and-winter-tire-package The description states: NOTE: THIS PACKAGE IS COMPATIBLE WITH MODEL 3 VEHICLES PRODUCED IN 2024+. I don't know if this is a case of not updating to say "SR and LR" or this is implicitly stating it is compatible with...

    Model 3 Performance/Ludicrous Waiting Room

I do like the lighter shade of the previous midnight silver metallic more than SG. However, I think the paint/finish quality is better on SG than it was with MSM. It's still the color I'm most willing to live with day to day. I don't think I'd go with a different color in the future unless they...

I got EDD pushed back as well. I've seen posts describing getting a Tesla is the closest thing to Christmas for adults. My first memories of Christmas presents are getting mail in certificates for Star Wars toys to be shipped later in the spring. So yeah, this is Christmas.

    Iowa deliveries (buying process)

FWIW, they have an SG/white M3P at Urbandale (no test drives). I have one on order but I went in to test drive the highland since it's pretty much the same car but with a little less right foot fun. I sat in the M3P seats after the LR test drive and the difference is stark. They are more...

The car has also maintained its MSRP price or perhaps lower if accounting for inflation. It is clearly better in many other ways than range for its price point compared to previous years and that firmly qualifies it as forward progress.

Model 3 Highland Performance/Plaid Speculation [Car announced 04.23.2024]

Majority of poster sentiment was that it'd be impossible that it would come in under $60-$65k MSRP. I think unrealistic expectations are the cause of both. Tesla fixed or mitigated all the criticisms of the previous M3P that made it come up short in the sport sedan market relative to...

Model 3 Highland Performance/Plaid Speculation [Car announced 04.23.2024]

Well, at least you guys aren't talking about Hyundai and Porsche anymore. Still comparing to cars >$15k in MSRP for some strange reason. Seriously, it would be sportsmanlike to always let the Hellcat win. After all, they have to drive a Chrysler product every day.

Seems like no and if close, not for the same amount of money:
  47. 12B4A

    Model 3 Performance/Ludicrous Waiting Room

Likely not. Delays have been attributed to bureaucracy with NHSTA and EPA. From what I can tell, layoffs were mostly non-critical path employees. China is also delayed to 3rd quarter for the same reasons.
