    What's next?

The v11.1 is the UI version, not the FSD version. You have FSD v12.6.3, same as me. Which software version (not FSD version) did you have during the free trial?

Vision-only Auto Park is finally here

@maiki said: But what about with the trial version of FSD? Thatwas installed with my newest update a couple days ago (2021 Model 3), 30 daytrial, but I cannot see Autopark nor Summon? I don't think Summon is available yet in Tesla Vision for any cars, but Autopark should be there. What do you...

    Latest software not installing

2024.14.7 is pretty new, TeslaFi doesn't even show it yet, but I do see online release notes. Not sure it will help, but try rebooting the car, and then go to Controls > Software to force it to check for an update.

2017 Model S with AP 2.5 received FSD trial

Versions of FSD have been able to run on HW2.5, but I thought that FSD v12, the version used in the free trial, required HW3. Maybe that was true earlier but not now. Can you confirm your software version?
  5. EVRider-FL

    Autopark?

Autopark will only back into parking spaces, so you have to be in a position where that's possible before it will offer to park. Try driving around in a parking lot with well marked spaces. In the online versions of the manual it says you have to be traveling below 8mph. I've used it a few...

How do I get sentry notification

Even if you didn’t get the notification in your app, the fact that you had alerts was displayed on the screen when you got back to your car, and you didn’t do anything with that information. Are you really going to run out to your car every time you get an alert? No.
  7. EVRider-FL

    Latest software not installing

Which version was the car trying to install, and which version do you have now? Occasionally Tesla will cancel an update if they discover that it contains a serious bug, but without more information, we don’t know if that’s what happened to you.

    Version 12

We now know that 2024.14.x has FSD v12, so you should be able to get it regardless of which build you have now (assuming you have the hardware required for FSD v12). However, I haven’t received it yet on either of our cars (both on 2024.3.25 currently).

How do I get sentry notification

You get alerts (not notifications) every time a person or another vehicle passes by your car, so it's not useful. In a busy parking lot, you might get dozens of alerts in a short time. I don't worry about those alerts unless I see something on the car that warrants investigation, but that hasn't...

How's your experience with Tesla / Apple iMessage been?

No, but if you look carefully at the image in your screenshot, you'll see that it's actually showing you the right scroll wheel on your steering wheel. It's a bad UI design.
  11. EVRider-FL

    Just got FSD - 2023 X

I'm guessing you were on one of the 2024.8.x builds and recently got one of the 2024.14.x builds. The 2024.8.x builds have FSD v11, but the trial uses FSD v12. The 2024.14.x builds, which have FSD v12, are fairly new, so that's why you didn't get it sooner. It doesn't matter for your question...

FSD Trial Really Messed Up Speed Limit Detection!

Don't know why it works differently on FSD than EAP, and it doesn't seem like it should, but you can always disable FSD and revert to EAP if you're not comfortable with it. I'm curious to hear if others are seeing the same issue. Which software version do you have now?
  13. EVRider-FL

How's your experience with Tesla / Apple iMessage been?

As the previous reply noted, it's not a button on the screen, it's telling you to press the voice command button (right scroll wheel in your case) to respond. However, I thought it was a button too the first time I saw it. Other than that, the integration works fine for me.
  14. EVRider-FL

    Auto Shift

Do your release notes in the car show the release note in the previous reply? If so, try rebooting and see if the feature appears.
  15. EVRider-FL

    Latest update... Average speed

Do you know for a fact that you’re driving in an average speed zone when it’s not working? I assume this feature depends on navigation data being up to date. For example, here in the US, red light cameras are not always shown on the navigation route.
  16. EVRider-FL

    FSD on Cybertruck

I wouldn’t bet on late June though, especially since the population of early testers is limited.

    Tesla auto steer beta

Will never happen while Elon “all user input is error” is running the show.
  18. EVRider-FL

    Latest update... Average speed

Which latest update are you referring to? Did the release notes in your car mention this feature? If not, you probably don’t have it (yet). The release notes on Not a Tesla App say that Navigation > Online Routing has to be on for this feature to work, so check that.

How do I get sentry notification

There are no notifications for the normal Sentry Mode alert events, only for events that trigger the Sentry Mode alarm.
  21. EVRider-FL

    Tesla auto steer beta

No, but you might not really be as far over in the lane as you think. If you can prove that your car isn't centered in the lane when it should be, try recalibrating your cameras (under Controls > Service) or have Tesla Service check them out.
  22. EVRider-FL

Not keeping a second driver profile

There’s a seat recalibration you can perform if the seats aren’t adjusting correctly, under Controls > Services I believe. Try that in the car with the incorrect seating position before recreating your profile. Note that during the calibration process the seat will fully recline, so it’s best...

    What's next?

A lot of people, including me (two cars), are on 2024.3.25. It includes the latest version of FSD, so don’t worry about it. When Tesla decides it’s your turn, you’ll probably get the latest 2024.14.x version, which has the same version of FSD you have now.

FSD hardware upgrade front camera quality

If you paid Tesla Service to upgrade your cameras, and they agree that the image looks wrong, they can’t charge you to fix their mistake. Push back on the $200 charge.

Did Tesla Service deny there was a problem?
  27. EVRider-FL

Not keeping a second driver profile

In the car, on the Driver Profile Settings screen, use the Reset Tesla Profile button. In the mobile app, go to the settings menu, select your profile, select Driver Profile, and select Reset Tesla Profile.
  28. EVRider-FL

Still no Bumper Cam or Ambient Lighting.

That’s interesting, because I remember seeing a disclaimer like that on the website, but I don’t see it now. However, when I ordered both a Model S and Model Y last year, part of the ordering process in the app was having to confirm a disclaimer about the lack of certain features, including...

    Can someone explain software

Let me clarify about the exceptions: the car and the mobile app are updated independently, but occasionally there are new mobile app features that require a particular software version in the car. It’s not any more complicated than that.

Scope of HW2.5 to HW3 Upgrade for M3 LR (Feb 2019 Build)

In 2019, Tesla upgraded the AP computer on our US 2018 Model 3 to HW3 after we bought FSD. They didn’t upgrade anything else. I don’t know that HW3 gets you any additional fnon-AP eatures you don’t already have.

Gave up on Autopilot, is Cruise Control next?

There’s no rain sensor in a Model 3, it uses the front camera.

    Pre 2017 Model S modifications

Why are you interested in fender cameras if the car won’t use them?
  33. EVRider-FL

    Please explain software branches

I don't think anyone outside of Tesla can answer your questions accurately, even if they think otherwise. Someone could map out which versions contain certain features (including FSD versions), but the actual underlying branch strategy would only be known to Tesla development. It seems that...

Gave up on Autopilot, is Cruise Control next?

The fact that TACC turned off and the wipers are misbehaving more than usual might indicate an issue with your front camera. Make sure to clean that area of the windshield, and if the problem persists, schedule a service appointment.
  35. EVRider-FL

    Can someone explain software

2025.3.25 includes FSD v12.3.6, so you have the latest FSD. The 11.1 you see in the version number is the software UI version, which has been at 11.1 for a while. The UI version is actually changing to 12.0 soon, to make matters more confusing, but you're all set with the FSD version. By the...

    FSDs is dangerous

Sorry, I misread your post. Even without considering AP, driving an ICE car on the rare occasions I need to rent one is always a bit jarring, especially when you forget to turn the car off. 🙂

Is there any way to turn on 'Minimal Lane Changes for the Current Drive' without going into the settings (Model S/X)?

No, that doesn’t work in the new S/X. Moving the scroll wheel left/right does nothing in any situation. Not sure why Tesla did that, and hopefully they’ll change it later. Thanks for confirming. I’ll have my car serviced if I can’t get it to work that way.
  41. EVRider-FL

Not keeping a second driver profile

You can delete (reset) your cloud profile without doing any of that. Totally unnecessary.
  42. EVRider-FL

Still no Bumper Cam or Ambient Lighting.

Autopark was available in one of the 2024.3.x builds, if not sooner. Both our cars are on 2024.3.x and both have Autopark. Which software build do you have, and who led you to believe you would have Autopark and Summon right away? Autopark is available depending on your build, but Summon isn’t...

2024.14.x on Intel MCU model 3

What is your reasoning for that? This wouldn’t be the first feature that Tesla hasn’t made available to all cars. The UWB feature is also used by the phone key on cars that have UWB support, but not all do. My wife’s 2023 Model Y does not, and neither did her 2018 Model 3.
  45. EVRider-FL

Is there any way to turn on 'Minimal Lane Changes for the Current Drive' without going into the settings (Model S/X)?

Moving the right scroll wheel left/right in the new Model S/X doesn’t do anything currently, according to the manual. Worse, when I tried to do that for the same reason you did, it was the same as pressing the scroll wheel and it disengaged FSD. So yes, you have to use the touchscreen, which is...

    FSDs is dangerous

Don’t ruin it for the rest of us. What version of FSD was in your rental car? I know it’s happened to others, but I’ve never once had FSD run a red light.
  47. EVRider-FL

Not keeping a second driver profile

What exactly do you mean when you say you have to reset your wife’s profile? Do you mean the profile is still there but not associated with her phone key? If so, you’re not the only one seeing this, though in my case it doesn’t happen every time: Driver profiles -- still crazy after all these...

    Text message reading volume

Are you using the Tesla integration for reading text messages, or something on your phone that you’re streaming via Bluetooth? The left scroll wheel should adjust the volume of whatever you’re listening to, but I don’t think I’ve ever needed to adjust the volume of a text message so I haven’t tried.

    HW2.5 to HW3 Upgrade | Crashing Woes

You shouldn't be seeing any of those issues after a HW3 upgrade. Let Tesla Service deal with them. I would be surprised if there was anything wrong with the cabin camera -- that wouldn't explain some of the other errors.

    I am thrilled with FSD

There are two Chill settings. The one under Controls > Pedals & Steering > Acceleration reduces acceleration in all situations, not just when using AP. There's a Chill FSD profile on the Controls > Autopilot screen that controls both acceleration and following distance. Which one did you use...
