    Slate style Tesla Roof?

Did Tesla give up on various types of solar roof tiles? It's been years and nothing. The slate look ones are the ones I'd be interested in. Looks like they unofficially gave up

Will Tesla sell you wheels alone?

I got OEM 2018 wheel with aero covers and tires I'd sell. Tires have around 15k miles on them. Located in SoCal

Replacement male connector for speaker under dash

I had a tech change my cabin air filter and he said the tech prior to him must have cut the male end that plugs into this speaker that’s under the glove compartment. He said I needed to take it to tesla to get it fixed. He didn’t tell me a part number, give me any picture or basically anything I...

If you had to do it again, would anyone NOT get the white interior?

4 years in. Still recommend the white. Only one small stain cause I floorer it while my friend was chugging some ungodly dyed energy drink. Stain is the size of a pea and not prominent. Gave done 35k mile and 7 weeks or so of car camping over the years

If you had to do it again, would anyone NOT get the white interior?

Glare depends on where you live. It was terrible when we lived in Vegas. Its ok in CA, and nothing when overcast. However, its an easy fix by wearing polarized sunglasses. I recommend the white And polarized sun glasses

Vendor Redwood Motorsports - Official factory 'Road & Track' Ohlins kit release, pre-order, specs, RWMS Ohlins accessories, and discussion!

That’s excellent and would more than meet any lift I would be looking for in my 3. Any idea if the GT allow for say a 20 mm lift on a model 3. If so then I just got to figure out if the spring rates Id like most. UP wont disclose the spring rates on their mild spring to me so I have no...

Ohlins R&T Coilovers with Swift Springs!

Hmm. Right now i have UP dual rate springs and am very happy for the price. They corner as flat as I need but arent too stiff. I do want ohlins dampers and ideally more compliance than I have now that can handle LAs roads better. Ideally I also want to be able to lower it up to 0.5 inches...

Ohlins R&T Coilovers with Swift Springs!

So is this is basically repurposing the RT kit with the same spring rate as the GT? Should new buyers go GT?

Vendor Redwood Motorsports - Official factory 'Road & Track' Ohlins kit release, pre-order, specs, RWMS Ohlins accessories, and discussion!

Is it possible to have the option of a bit of a lift as well as a drop? I want a city setting (up to half inch drop) but also a snow/backcountry setup (idk 0.5-1.5 lift maybe?) that I can use on unmaintained roads to access less visited hiking and camping areas until my cyber truck comes. It...

Vendor Ohlins - Road & Track DFV Coilover Systems - Spring into May Sale - 10% off all kits!

What’s the height adjustment on the online kit? I like a drop of up to half an inch, which should be not problem, but I would also like the option to raise the car a little bit. I’ve been going to national parks and such and some of the unmaintained dirt roads can be difficult to clear. I’ve...

    M3P VS BMW I4 M50

The lack of superchargering for the BMW alone is enough reason to the get the tesla. Thinking of how terrible bmw software has been, I’m sure it’s also no where as good as autopilot. I don’t miss my bmw. I no longer have a relationship with several mechanics and shops. Which is a great thing.

    2020 Stealth Performance questions

I out UP mild springs on mine. It made the handing much better. It was much more bounce prior to the springs. Now it corners flat and the expansion gaps in the pavement don't beat me upside the head for 30 minutes of road at a time. That and the MPP brake brace are must having IMO. Same...

Any luck? Any comments on the street feel? Wondering how they compare to the Page Mill Performance Front Rotors on the street. I know they are better for the track but feel is a big area for improvement and the stiffer calipers my improve feel, or are the upgraded rotors as much as will be...

Model 3 Tires, Tire Sizes, Types, make / model recommendations, tire discussions, etc

Try upgrading your suspension first. I had aeros. Those are light and felt like *sugar* until I replaced the springs with UP milds. That made it feel like a sporty sedan. You could still feel the all seasons though. Still felt porky but not like I was all over road. After that the 255/35/20...

Model 3 Tires, Tire Sizes, Types, make / model recommendations, tire discussions, etc

255/35 is better. Say they weight 1-2lb more? Thats not noticeable at all. But sidewall goes up 0.1 inch. That fills in the wheel well gap a bit batter. More importantly, that extra 0.1 inch (2-3 mm) helps to cushion the rim a bit more. The bigger gain is probably that the wheels have a...

Model 3 Tires, Tire Sizes, Types, make / model recommendations, tire discussions, etc

See the picks I posted of my 20x9 +35 offset with 255/35/20 tires. My car is lowered on UP milds, so that does tuck the tire a bit but I think they will be fine and wont poke. Ive got some extra space on mine as is. Someone on the forums had the same tires on the uber turbines with factory...

Model 3 Tires, Tire Sizes, Types, make / model recommendations, tire discussions, etc

my offset is +35 with a 9.0 wide rim. You could prob do a 5mm space on the rear with +34 assuming the gray calipers like I have (don't know on the red ones offset). I wanted some slip stream cause aero. But I also get a little more tuck in because I got 0.5 in drop. I have standard MPS4s...

Model 3 Tires, Tire Sizes, Types, make / model recommendations, tire discussions, etc

255/35/20 is the way to go. Assuming those are 20x9. Fills the wheel gap better. More tire to cushion and protect the rim. Cheaper tires too.

Thoughts on wheel locks, especially with 129 ft/lbs torque requirement?
  28. ElectricGhost

    Wheel locks?

What are you torquing them too? 129 ft/lbs is what Tesla says to use but what are those rated for? Also, are you avoid impact drills? I've heard it can break those, which makes me hesitant and I assume any auto shop is going straight to the impact drill.

So does this mean my UP mild springs disqualify me? What about adding stainless steel brake lines? Those should be fine. also running 20x9 bc forged wheels woth pilot sport 4s 255/35/20 tires on a 2018.

It's probably the giant glass roof reflecting sound vs the soft roof in the volt absorbing it. I think Tesla f'd itself over by requiring the glass roof.

MPP Comfort Coilovers - How Much More Comfortable?

The UP dual rate springs do make a noticeable difference (I have the milds). I think its mostly because it prevents the damping from resonating like it does with standard springs. But the cornings is flatter too. Although I do get some suspension noise when turning tight at slow speeds. Very...

    Lightweight Roadster Variant?

If they can give a roadster the specs of a model S LR while reducing the weight it to Porsche 911 levels is could work. If they make more profit than any other vehicles it could still be worth it to them. No one sane is going to be tracking a full on roadster. I want one I can do a few laps...

Question for those in sunny/warmer climates! (glass roof)

Get the roof sunshade. It creates an insulated air gap. It block the IR transfer that is radiating from the heated glass (not just the sun IR). Tint wont do that. the roof glass is thicker than the side glass. As such it carries more heat capacity. This heat capacity it mostly given off via...
