Can the Tesla charging cable be used in the rain?

If you need cord distance I highly recommend the highest gauge wire you can find.
To be more accurate, one should get the thickest gauge wire feasible for an extension cord if there's no other way to charge the car or for use during an emergency (i.e., not for day-to-day usage). This means that the numerical value of the gauge be lower / smaller / closer to zero / less positive. A 10 gauge wire is thicker, and therefore able to handle more current, than a 14 gauge wire.

For somebody that doesn't know how wire gauge sizes are defined, saying "highest" gauge could imply a "larger value" number. That would not be correct nor safe.
