I'm very familiar with SCRM and do a "provenance check" on most all electronics I buy. I don't buy anything, not even cables off Amazon. Too much counterfeit and compromised stuff. This is excellent advice for everyone. Also, definitely don't always go with the cheapest option. Not that you have to spend a bazillion dollars but with electronics and tech, sometimes the "cheaper" option is counterfeit or sus. Great advice!
