Review: Hankook iON evo AS vs Pirelli AS+ Elect vs Michelin PS 4S vs Michelin PS AS 4

I have been using the Perelli Elects(18) August/September in CT. I lease my model 3 performance and thought it was too high risk using the OEM wheels and tires. This past Winter was very MILD. I prefer the summer Pirelli's, but apparently not enough to have switched over yet :). The semi...

Uggh, tired of flat tires, suggestion for wheel/tire combination 18 vs 19"

I managed 5K on the Ubers and just switched to 235/45-18 high-performance all-season Perelli elects with Tsportline wheels for the rural roads in CT. Early returns are I will not be switching back to the Ubers. The handling is excellent. They add a small amount of firmness to the ride which I...

Winter tire shopping - Looking at the NOKIAN TYRES HAKKAPELIITTA R5 EV

I think you will be happy. Especially with the Winter performance. I had a set on a mini cooper. They were eye opening for the first year. Then less so each succeeding year, but still performed well.

If tread life is your top value, you might want to consider Nokian all seasons also.

Well, I was waiting for someone to post your comment. I was thinking perhaps I had been given a placebo or was just imagining what I wanted. To me also, one can make an extremely small movement of the wheel and the car responds immediately. Yesterday and today's drives on twisty roads have...

Model 3 Performance Waiting Room [2020-2023]

Ack, hand shook and hit the wrong emote. Haste that was supposed to be a "like" response. Have not seen a way to correct my response yet. Haste, you definitely have "accessory disease." Only thing that has saved me from your lofty plans is that my car is leased.:) Edit. Figured out how to...

You convinced me. :) When Sept./Oct. arrives and I go from the 20 in. Ubers to the 18 in. Pirelli AS Elects I am going to choose 43 psi. For me, the P3 ride is not in any way punishing at stock.

The latest version of the software (22.20.6) has a new section for tire calibration after getting new tires. I have no idea how "smart" it is though.

Blue/White is the ONE! 😍 One of the color combos must speak to you. Try to think a year from now and which one will bring a smile to your face. Fortunately, the model 3 looks good in all colors.

Fully stock (March 1 delivery) with Pirelli P Zero summer tires. Switching tires and wheels in September due to location and leasing to an 18 setup. For fun, previous car was a modified 2005 C6 Vette though the only suspension mod was shocks.

2022.20.5 a disappointment Probably just related to my feelings of above, but very low speeds felt really mushy

That is interesting as to quote Pirelli marketing, "Finally, an immediate grip designed to bite into the asphalt instantly, putting the power down for a quick getaway." I am teasing, but hopefully your Mid Range does not have enough torque to take advantage of the new Perelli feature. :p

I just installed 16.3 for the M3P. Not optimistic about any change. The tesla software update website is saying 15 days until the estimated release of 2022.24. I will hope they add back something undocumented.

Thanks Dave. I have been waiting for some performance type comments. The Ubers and performance tires have to come off in September/October timeframe in my CT environment plus the car is leased and the OEM stuff has to be in good shape when the car is returned. I am more optimistic that I...

Only commenting on mileage and that the company appears to have many people who love their (winter) tires. Nokian One tires are rated at 80000 miles and they come with a pothole warranty. https://www.nokiantires.com/all-season-tires/nokian-tyres-one/

Model 3 Performance Waiting Room [2020-2023]

I thought for tires with foam that the plugging process includes removing the tire from the wheel, cutting a 4 inch or so section of the foam, and then plugging from the inside? Then there is some discussion of re-gluing the removed foam section and balancing the tire.

Assuming that puncture cannot be repaired? I have to check the date I purchased the Pirelli High Performance All-Season Elects. Fortunately, Tire Rack provides a two-year Road Hazzard protection with purchase. It was painful looking at that nail. I remember pick up day and I am pretty sure...

    Replacement tires for 2021 SR+

The Cross Climates are at least one of the best all weather WINTER tires. That certainly is not your priority. Since your priority is mileage, do some research on the Nokian One. Issue will be if they are available or not. Nokians have an excellent reputation mainly based on their Winter...

I decided not to wait as last year wheels and tires were often on long backorders. Even now some popular tires are on nationwide backorder. I purchased 18" tsportsline wheels, with tesla black wheel covers, and some black plastic caps for the lugs. I have access (with my wife's permission :))...

Discount Tire was advertising a $70 rebate on Pirellis, so inquire about that if you did not get it already. My area does not have any Discount Tire stores within 250 miles. Tire Rack did not have the rebate but did have free local pickup and the App "Honey" is giving me $51. I am trying to...
