Weird our hankook for X had tread warranty at DT in LB, CA. Ditto for one on our 3 too.

I tried the Electric Drive before switching to Hankooks. They were really bad mileage wise. And the road noise wasn't great either.

On last leg of 7000 mi roadtrip from la, NY, atl, NorCal now soon back to la. These have held up well in all types of all terrain weather. From heavy rain to rough sections of route 66. Hankook nailed it with the EVO ion

I agree. IONs are slightly as or more efficient. MXM4’s are pretty efficient tires though. IONs are rated double the mileage at 50K. If true irl, then much better. They are quieter and more comfortable ride too

My experience as well. Also for 3 and X, they smooth out speed bumps and potholes a lot better. My lower back is thankful

We would drive to San Antonio for direct flight to Monterrey. Twist is there are no direct flights back only connector via Mexico City.

Key is to top off with it >50% ideally >65-70%. For ‘18 X, it’s actually a bit faster as it sustains higher for longer

Debating about safety traveling from Austin to Monterrey and back in M3P in early Dec. How does the safety profile look like these days? Drug cartel activity a concern en route? We would be traveling during the day. Alternatively, we would fly into airport. If so, Is profiling a concern?

That’s great to hear. Was getting PTSD after trialing Goodyear Electdrives, which cut range 20-30%. So far with X have not noticed it with the IONs. Today in bumper to bumper noticed a big gain in range handily beating out the trip plan estimate curve. Will go on couple of roadtrips next few...

I would not hang in parking spot but in front of teslas. If somebody is about to leave, they can let you know. Fountain Valley is also cramped and crowded and bad..there I park ¾ in ready to go. It’s no different than dealing with a gnarly in-n-out line

Put the ion as on today on my x. Better range than contis for bumper to bumper freeway and local traffic. Best trip planner estimate by a lot. Will go on road-trips next week and see if that still holds. Very quiet and comfortable ride so far. Better than contis over bumps. Not sure about tight...

I think given number of noob to pros ratio now, Tesla sw team needs to use bolder and bigger fonts to call out details like codes and special hours. At least they finally got to implementing bigger text in the non new FSD revs

We were there last week. Surprising no of peeps still don’t know about code. Told a driver who didn’t believe us and proceeded to hold up line of teslas. Go figure. Thankfully two other sites in south Vegas look almost done so this packed Vegas mayhem maybe can chill some now.

On discount and americas tires websites, they both list a 50k warranty for the ION EVO SUV tires. America’s tires is noticeably cheaper when you throw in their tire certs for each tire by $350 for our X. We went with the OEM Primacy for our 3P. Will try these next time. Real PITA to swap out...

i’ve had opposite experience. In Vegas a couple summers back, temps were at 120+ mid afternoon. X fan was loud as jet engine throughout and preconditioning was triggered well beforehand. I put wet towel on charge handle to get higher throughput which worked with this 150Kw setup. Battery gave...

batteries operate best within moderate temp range. Preconditioning cools battery down to that range. Stats app shows temp curve for both my EVs and efficiency drops off on both ends of temp spectrum. Drivers may not be aware it is preconditioning but setting it to a supercharger auto triggers...

We went back to oem tires. Efficiency jumped right back up to upper 80 and 90th percentile in TezLab app with no breaking in. We will try to religiously rotate every 6,200 mi this time around to see if we can get 40k vs 20-25k out of them as somebody reported doing.

I’m here googling after trialing ElectricDrive GTs two days in a row between LA and SD. It has horrible efficiency. TezLab app tells me it’s using almost 100Wh/mi more than before which was at 286Wh/mi, with our ‘18 3P; now it’s over 372Wh/mi. I’m debating whether to wait it out until 1K mi or...
