Show off your aftermarket Model X wheels...

Kinda doubt it... my fronts are 20x9.5 +40 w/15mm spacer and at full lock I got like 1/8" clearance with OEM sized 265/45/20 tires. Those tires being like 0.4" taller than the OEM's and fatter.....

How long between FSD computer update and download of version 12

Same here.... 2023 Model X LR w/ HW4. Just subscribed to FSD a week or so ago with referral credits for 3-months. I've been on the 2024.8 series since March 17th, updated to 8.4 then 8.7 and most recently 8.9 on April 12th. Just been waiting since, but now the 2024.14 series w/ v12 FSD...

Custom wheels: what is best width and offset for perfect square setup on X?

    Considering my 20" setup (20x9.5 +40 / 20x10.5 +40) with 15mm spacers (F/R) and OEM sized tires (265/45 & 275/45) as shown in attached..... Ideal custom wheel order STAGGERED would be 20x9.5 +25 (Front) & 20x10.5 +25. ✅ So IMO for a square setup I would run 9.5" wide (20" or 21" or 22"...

    Wheel Spacers on Model X

Correct.... Since these are Model S spec wheels they actually DO bring the rear out +5mm more than the OEM 19" or 21" to be more flush than OEM. +40 Martian Front/Rear vs. +40 OEM Front / +45 OEM Rear 18mm is huge IMO, they'll really be sunken... I was looking originally to do 9.5" square but...

Two TireRack "On-Road All-Terrain" options are now available in 20" Model X refresh sized staggered tires.... 🛞 #1 - Falken Wildpeak A/T Trail's 🛞 #2 - Nitto Nomad Grappler's Anybody give them a go yet on a newer Model X? Alternative, DIY refresh Model X rear camber correction

Good FYI explanation on caster and toe... sounds like the tech was just lazy IMO. 🤷‍♂️ My local American Tire center did my alignment recently. I had mild rear shims installed at the time, but I'm also lowered on N2ITIVE links and pending the fatter red shims soon.

    General G-MAX AS-07 Tires on Model X

I have these on my list to consider as well.... in the end they might hold true to the saying, "You get what you pay for". Great value tire, I have run General summer spec tires on my Model 3 Performance and had no complaints, but the X being the heavy beast it is I think I'm going to...

Hankook ion Evo AS on a MXP?

As with most tire treadwear warranties, if you're running them in staggered setup as the default sizing on the X the warranty is usually cut in half. 60k treadwear warranty becomes 30k for example due to the loss of ability to rotate and extend their life. These are the detail from TireRack on...

Is the 2023 Model X suspension just not refined?

I would agree with the range thing in non-Tesla EV's as well. Rented a few Polestar 2's and more recently a Volvo C40 plug in and the range does not fluctuate as the Tesla's do. Also whatever SOC you park them at they'll be the same in the morning... All my Tesla's since 2018 have always...

FWD hits roof after 2024.14.6 update

Sounds like about time I install those pool noodles on my garage door track I've been putting off BEFORE installing the 14-series update then. 🫣 6-months now without issue.... usually it stops too low and I have to manually override it. I have a tall 12ft garage ceiling which is irrelevant...

Show off your aftermarket Model X wheels...

Fully adjustable camber arms are great, but they just cost 10x that of the fixed correction shims. No reason for adjustability for most non-track people IMO, just need to reduce the camber from the factory settings to a more moderate level. In many cases its actually the off toe spec...

Show off your aftermarket Model X wheels...

Yeah got these on a killer deal, saved about $2k so that'll pay for my extra tires down the road. I only run about 10k a year and now that'll be split between this setup and my OEM 20's I'll run in the winters. Plus I corrected the heavy camber with some shims and an alignment so fingers...

Continental cross contact LX Sport 275 45 R20

Were they worn down to the belts? Regardless of the tire brand or type if your alignment is messed up you'll eat through tires unevenly and blow-outs are the result if you go too far. Every Model X I would argue NEEDS at least an alignment check in the first few months, any tire shop can...

Alternative, DIY refresh Model X rear camber correction

N2ITIVE links go to -13 on the low end and +5 on the high end. 1mm steps or even 1/10mm with these newer ones. I have not tried Cheetah Mode/Launch Control yet, but I did hear that is an issue if the front can't drop enough to engage....didn't think the rear would be a problem, but maybe. 🤷‍♂️...

    Referral credit for premium connectvity

Just extended my Premium Conn. out another year with my referral credits (2,500 for each year). Also added 3-months of FSD for 6,000 credits. No issues, you'll see the new expiration date in vehicle (or app under Upgrades) just about as quick as at the confirmation order email from Tesla.

Alternative, DIY refresh Model X rear camber correction

So your current N2ITIVE link settings are -6 Front and -9 Rear? Just FYI you listed as "+" which is adding length, but actually lowering the ride height, but I got you. "0" would be factory link lengths. Lowest I ever tried in the front was -5 and found it really degraded the ride quality a...

Anyone with HW4 tried a MirrorTap?

Don't skimp, everything's better with the WireTap branded kit, quality of the pins and cables. If not you end up spending more having to buy both kits in the end. $80k+ vehicle is worth the $35 IMO.

    Wheel Spacers on Model X

Yeah, weird..... mine don't have that rounded end at all and he did say 24' LR mines a 23' LR, not sure whey they would add length to the studs considering the wheel specs haven't changed. Only way to know is bust out the ruler and see how much would be exposed after the 15-25mm spacer added. 🤷‍♂️
  29. NJturtlePower

    Wheel Spacers on Model X

Nope, didn't cut anything. Pic collage shows how it sat when I initially tried the 15mm and 20mm combo. The extra length of the bolts was not an issue with the Martian wheels as the pockets were at least an inch deep, so after adding the 15-20mm spacer it was a non-issue. Now I didn't test fit...

    Wheel Spacers on Model X

So here we are again… now running spacers on my 2023 Model X LR w/ new aftermarket Martian MW05 wheels. 👽 They are Model S specd, 20x9.5” +40 and 20x10.5” +40 so I added spacers to get them nice and flush along with my N2ITIVE lowering links. 👌🏻 Tried 15mm front and 20mm rear but poked a bit...

    2022 X tint percent

50% is fine, just much lighter than the OEM rear tint, and Yes, definitely still visible. Watch the video I linked earlier. 👀 https://teslamotorsclub.com/tmc/posts/7833709/ Personally I would go at least 35% on the fronts so it's more of a smooth transition from lighter to darker rear glass...

    Model X Winter Tires

Latest gen just got a little fatter in the rear from 9.5” to 10”. Offsets (+35/40) are irrelevant as far as tires go, it’s just how far out from the wheel hub the rim will sit. Any tire that will fit the old X will fit the new X. All tires have an acceptable rim width range. Example attached...

No camber arms, but just some simple generic 1/8” (3mm) shims for now. Alignment is OK, but already planning to install the larger shims to take a bit more camber out of the rear. Deliveries of $80k X?

Mine was 72-months, there was a floor rate of 3.99% so no better for 60mo. That rate is long gone now with Fed Choice... they would take a full 1% off the listed rate for new member loans. Not sure that's still active or not, but maybe possible to get in the 5.5-5.6% range currently still...

Savings of $2,500, why did you order Model X tax edition 5 seats over the Model S (non-Plaid) 5 seats ?

SUV seating position, more space, motorized open/close doors, mega windshield, Federal incentive. Been a sedan/coupe driver since about 2010, but my first vehicle was a Jeep. Decided to give the SUV style a re-visit after an awesome 5+ years of Model 3 life. All the 2023 price drops really...
