Tesla only changes a flag in the car for salvage cars
Rooting just let's u change gateway configs n re-enable that flag

I am surprised Tesla doesn't check their records and reinstate this flag occasionally. They shouldn't be trusting a salvage vehicle for correct information to authenticate a charging session..

They do but with root u block Teslas access to ur car
There's no difference between salvage car n clean title car that's been in a wreck n fixed...
This subject has been beaten to death lol

I saw the OP from China post on another thread. I guess he has found the source he was looking for. Amazing that Tesla is so lax.

honestly tho, now that Tesla does official salvage re-inspection n re-enables SC, this is a dying method anyways
esp since its only easy on MCU1, which is also dying platform
