    Upgrading my battery 2015 P90D with a 2020 LR+ 100kwh battery a good idea?

On this particular car, the MCU2 was updated from 90D to 100D upon firmware redeploy. On an older car you'll likely still need to use Toolbox, but an upgrade is absolutely possible.

    DIY Tesla Drive Unit Repair

Unfortunately this damage was done by the SC. I have seen it several times but they still haven't changed the procedure. This happens because of the yanking force when the LDU is replaced and failure to replace the cable O-rings. The proper way to remove the LDU on pre-refresh is the bring it...

20" Model X Slipstream Wheels on Model S

Four 9.5" wheels. No they do not come close to sticking out and they all have 5mm spacers. There are many photos in that link for additional detail.

20" Model X Slipstream Wheels on Model S

It touched the front of the wheel liner on full lock but not enough to be a concern.

Class action for Model S drive unit failure?

As long as you have a truck, it's easy. All SC's have a fork lift.

Nice work! Just based on this long distance shot, the rotor end looks very clean. What revision letter is that unit?

New wheel design looks pretty spiffy!

Well, can you post some close-ups of the wheel and caps?

Class action for Model S drive unit failure?

Did you buy the car new? It is highly unlikely that a 2014 era LDU made it to 150k miles.

20" Model X Slipstream Wheels on Model S

This was my old P85DL with a square set of 20"x9.5" MX rear wheels with 275/35R20 Continental SportContact 6. I also had 5mm TSportline hub-centric spacers all around. I did it for grip on launches, freedom for tire rotation, and the sidewall profile. Many more pictures here.

Damage to rear panel does anyone know how severe it is and how much it will cost??

First of all, who was at fault? That will help with the strategy. In the end, I would find a reputable non-Tesla shop in the area and get them to repair the panel because it is steel and no different from a Corolla.

    DIY Tesla Drive Unit Repair

The tube is there to moderate gearbox fluid temp and I believe it could be a high point to minimize air bubbles in the stator jacket.

Not bad for the inverter and won't narrow down the issue to the stator but will identify the potential for a stator failure.

Before you waste too much time and money on parts, be sure to disassemble the unit and check the resistance of each winding of the stator. If it has an internal short you need a completely new drive unit. I have three with dead shorts in the stator windings.
