Anybody have direct experience with Amber Electricity?

Mostly, but not always. For me, last night was around 32 cents. But today is 34 cents to 334 cents if the forecast can be believed. I imagine it won't get that high, but probably will be higher then last night. No solar and no wind?

MCU2 Upgrade and no AM or FM radio

I have seen (rare) occasions when my car (2017 Model S with upgraded MCU2) can be very slow to wake up after a deep sleep. Not sure if it has happened recently, there have been a number of software updates since the last time I remember.

Anybody have direct experience with Amber Electricity?

A previous iteration I took AEMO rates, and manually converted them. But keeping track of all the variables was kind of a pain - simpler just to use the Amber API. Which is well documented.

Tesla owner who falsely claimed car was in autopilot before Melbourne crash pleads guilty

I am just waiting for the accidents where the driver blames (whether rightly or wrongly) Full Sell Driving. Which in turn will be used as evidence by some that Tesla obviously isn't ready for Full Self Driving yet.

Would you recommend Tesla Model 3 for a P plater?

I worry that a driver that has learnt solely on Tesla's may become dependent on one peddle driving. i.e. when approaching an obstacle and the car isn't slowing down fast enough, I will automatically press the brake peddle. But wonder if this would happen for somebody who is use to one peddle...

Tesla owner who falsely claimed car was in autopilot before Melbourne crash pleads guilty

Even if it was true that the car was in autopilot, that only raises questions like "why did you think it was safe to pass a tram in autopilot?" and "where you paying attention to the road?". It is still dangerous driving in either case. Particularly as we don't have anything like Full Self...

    Passenger seat posessed.

Something jamming against the controls when you open the car door? But I suspect you already have checked for this...

Pick up my Model 3 on Friday ... Looking forward to interacting with these clowns (not)

I have personally never experienced any of these issues. But demand for shopping center chargers - particularly free ones - is high, and typically there are few chargers. The chances of being able to get one is low. ...and yes, whenever I have checked there are always EVs plugged in.

    3G Phase Out

https://www.tesla.com/en_AU/order/download-order-agreement?redirect=no&country=AU&model_code=m3 I think this version was 2023. Apologies, there seems to be some weird characters in that copy and paste. This has caused some apparent spelling mistakes. Look at the original. If I look at the...

    3G Phase Out

Depends if you have wifi configured and in range from garage or not. I imagine most people with 3G only probably will have wifi configured, especially after 3G stops working.

    3G Phase Out

But Tesla misses out on being able to record data from your car. Is that data worth the cost of a 4G modem... Perhaps not, unless there are a significant number of 3G only cars. I am a little bit surprised that Tesla aren't contacting owners of 3G only cars and encouraging them to upgrade at...

    3G Phase Out

I believe it is possible just to upgrade the modem. But as others have recommended might be best to upgrade to MCU2 at the same time... Even more so if you still have an older 8GB eMMC that was prone to fail (although hopefully these have all been replaced by now under the 2021 recall).

    Model 3 Highland live now

Maybe as more people start getting stalk-less cars, they can start addressing these fears with their own experiences. Which may or may not address the issues. I know that indicators not on stalks receives a lot of discussion. But what happens when you are driving at night, and the car is on...

    Model 3 Highland live now

Everyone I have spoken to says that they would not consider purchasing a Tesla due to the removal of the stalks. Which is a shame, as Tesla do have other good features, e.g. reliable charging network. Last I heard that is still mostly Tesla only in Australia.

    Model-Y Comprehensive Insurance Recommendation

Forgot to say in my above post, when I got ING car insurance it was underwritten by "Auto & General". Do not recommend :-)
