Bingo! It's a impulsive, short-sighted decision that will cost them long term. Existing customers will hesitate to upgrade, new customers will think twice about the benefit of the Supercharger network, employees will be less loyal and may not work as hard, and vendors may not prioritize...

An email from Tesla to contractor's/vendors indicates they will at least be finishing sites under active construction, so this would should be okay (along with Florence and SE Bham).

Fair enough. They should at least add a manual precondition option then.

My bigger concern is that Tesla doesn't show CCS locations in the nav. They need to add these so preconditioning can be activated. As you allude to, parts of the Tesla experience are starting to lag behind what competitors can do.

Interesting. I had to use that for mine, and I've not had any issues.

I was worried about doing it myself, but it really is pretty simple. Works great. I'm not sure Tesla is ever going to actually offer the upgrade.
