    Actually when it's raining the water does "ooz" from the plastic cover around the button when I press it. Is that not normal? Inside the socket everything is dry.

    Suddenly Tesla support did come back again and suggested to clean charging handle pins with 99% isopropyl alcohol. I'll give that a try.

    Charger installation - Berkshire

    Small world indeed! I'm in Thatcham too. Red M3P. Since I happen to have good enough cable coming to the garage, I installed Tesla Wall Charger myself. Stable 32amps without any issues.
