    Sunroof motor location!

Yea I know :) but why would it be important to do so? Its another thing to work on somethink like pumps that “might” turn on, but how can work on panoramic roof be compromised with active 12v?

Why is it important? I removed my motors, etc, with 12V connected...

Jea they are a bit conservative and play on the safe card.

    Has anyone repaired cooling louvers?

Toolbox v2 works, but you need a "special" version, some people even charge for it - bastards. Once installed, you still need the online sub but then it works fine.

hm, I dont think you need to disconnect the high voltage battery. It is for safety, but its very unlikely anything will go wrong?

    Has anyone repaired cooling louvers?

The "louvre angle fix" is not available in the new toolbox anymore. you need the toolbox 2 for it. if all louvers move i see no point in replacing them, but to fix them as described in this thread.

Just dig in, ita not that hard if you are at least a semi mechanic guy. Just bear in mind. You have a v1 sunroof, right? Tesla does not sell parts for it, and you might need a second hand one if ita available at all. But maybe some parts from v2 also fits on v1?

Is that old location for the fakkra? Isnt it behind the slot under the mcu?

    Sunroof motor location!

No idea about the cable, try to take a better picture of it...but I think i also see similar cable in the Tesla's service manual I posted? About the roof...Both motors move the glass. Each on every side. And there is no way you will move the glass with motors attached, impossible. Thats why I'd...

    Sunroof motor location!

I dont have this component installed next to the motor, but my best guess its the premium amplifier, correct? It needs to be removed first to access the motor, follow this: Model S Service Manual | Tesla step 8.

    Has anyone repaired cooling louvers?

Neverming my previous post, here is another video of achually replacing the louvers on an older model and person in this video shows which screws under needs to be unscrewed:

    Has anyone repaired cooling louvers?

One more question, if I am somehow unable to repair the current louver is it safe to not install it back while waiting for new part - to preserve some time for future repairs, or shall I install it back in to protect the radiator which would otherwise be exposed to dirt/debris?

    Has anyone repaired cooling louvers?

Hmm...so I was about to remove my front bumper to access the louvers, but one of the 10mm bolt is stucked so I aborted and have to visit my mechanic friend to see if he can remove it. Anyhow, was browsing the internet to get a better idea on how to remove the bumper and found this video...

    Sunroof motor location!

I found this for removing the motor: Post in thread 'Sunroof motor location!' Sunroof motor location! Once you do this you have to try to slide the sunroof, from the front to back, slightly prese up from inside. Once you get a hand of it its easy…but if its stucked maybe it wont move at all

    Sunroof motor location!

Let me elaborate... Mainly two things can go wrong with the sunroof, or mostly just one. Roof is "stucked", not because of faulty motors (which can happen thou) but because it was not maintained properly and now it wont slide the way it should. So first establish if roof can move freely by...
