Vendor Teslogic Pro — Performance Upgrade for Tesla Model 3/Y

So power increase is from boost function and p version on 980 motor spoofing. Luckily Tesla is too busy with other stuff to encrypt the can bus and destroy an ability for logs collection. But what's new from those kits available for years now?

MASTER THREAD: Comprehensive Road-Course Modification Guide — Optimizing the 3 for the track

I'm going to use cooling mist jets and 200psi compact pump. Water on the track is not a concern, since a/c throws tons of it there anyway. Rotors can't really warp from that amount of water - the amount of heat from the high speed braking far heavier stress than any water mist. Also it instantly...

MASTER THREAD: Comprehensive Road-Course Modification Guide — Optimizing the 3 for the track

Carbon one gets soft pedal as well. I don't know if any ducting really works on a street drivable model 3. I plan to do water injection this summer. Already got all the parts.

Highland suspension on 2019 Model 3

When they were asking VIN, I was literally going to the car in the showroom and writing down VIN from the one on the stand.

Model 3 Highland Performance/Plaid Speculation [Car announced 04.23.2024]

Peak power has little to no influence on 1/4 and 0-60. It was explained ad nauseam in this thread.

Cooling the Performance Model 3 On Track – An Overview of Our Modified Heat Exchangers

Battery indicator is not a battery temperature. It's an indicator of a current limiter, which has math model from the average current from time. If motors, invertor, cells overheat first - it will limit the current even earlier. My coolers and switched off regen keep temperature of cells below...

Model 3 Highland Performance/Plaid Speculation [Car announced 04.23.2024]

That's not really the case. They choose specific curve of temperature to voltage drop with lowest voltage hard limit well before the actual power limit. So if they choose to send a new curve - they can. It doesn't mean they will or any power is attainable. But they physically can do that.

2024 Model 3 Performance Announced - Discussion thread post announcement

For 0 to 60 or 1/4 peak power is much less significant than power under the curve

Model 3 Highland Performance/Plaid Speculation [Car announced 04.23.2024]

I predicted it will take a few months for Ludicrous option to buy, and I still think that's the case with 2.5 0-60 rollout extracted in US. I won't be buying it, because in the EU price (59.1 - 71.0K USD) vs trade-in is too high, battery cuts into power too much and seats can't be used with...

The quest for wider wheels and tires, 295, 305 and beyond...

Don't underestimate influence of low cg. Tire temps on the track say that -3.5f is too much for Model 3. On my Evo with hard springs I needed 3.5 easily

Model 3 Highland Performance/Plaid Speculation [Car announced 04.23.2024]

That's exactly the tool I used to cut head restraints on this seat that I've put in my current M3P But you can't do like that with stock seat. I just can't believe that they made a fake harness hole Instead of actually making one on a performance car. I mean, there is not much cost savings on...

The quest for wider wheels and tires, 295, 305 and beyond...

Because you raised a suggestion that wider tires might require higher pressure and that negates benefits of wider tires. I mean, I don't know how else to read that, so I commented. I alluded to it in the earlier comments that if one runs a wider tire, but has to bump up pressures to compensate...

Wider tire needs less pressure for the same load. Always.
