Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

This why I am sceptical on the FSD timelines given. My lesson from the 4680 and semi sagas is to see what is actually happening and not put too much weight on what’s been said.

Tesla sales continue downwards trend in Europe

Targeted marketing could help but the leader is averse to it. Many people who can charge at home buy similar ICE vehicles. Most of these people are potential customers but Tesla does not do a full on advertising/ marketing campaign.

Yeah the semi timetable announcements have been pie in the sky. Going from a handful a week to 1,000 a week is going to take a lot of effort. Highly unlikely to happen in 2/3 years. Plus the customers need to install the chargers which takes time.

Glad this is happening, hopefully they can speed up the production dates.

Even if the claims are 50% true this is very impressive. It will mean all non China battery manufacturers are going to be trouble.

USA made battery’s are the the limiting factor for the performance. In effect because 4680 hasn’t worked out as anticipated and due to the tax credit rules tesla is at a short term strategic disadvantage.

When will we know the result of the vote?

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Because if they produce the 3 and Y at the maximum production capacity, they will not be able to sell all the vehicles and it will be obvious as the inventory will increase. Until demand increases Berlin and Texas will not be producing at the maximum capacity.

I don’t think Elon will quit. His ego won’t let him. If it is voted down a new comp plan will have to be agreed to take into account the past performance and future milestones.

Because unfortunately as tesla has grown parts of it are run in a very amateurish manner.

    .99% APR Financing Promotion (May 10 - May 31 2024)

Because they have been producing more than they can sell for a while now.

Does anybody have the stats for how many people are buying a Tesla for the first time and how many are trading in from an existing tesla ?

    Cybertruck is a scam.

If the management of any other auto maker had sense they would hire him. Someone like this can prevent problems with new product launches that others in a company are afraid to speak up about.

Inventory is pilling up in Europe so any reason to stop production helps prevent the build up.

Not sure how this is going to work in the EU. The working time directive allows for a 48 hour week max. https://ec.europa.eu/social/main.jsp?catId=706&langId=en&intPageId=205
