Charity bet #5: First Starship Booster Intact Landing

    Presumably this 900EX. https://www.flightradar24.com/data/aircraft/vh-mxj#358c41b9

    SpaceX Starship - IFT-5 - Starbase TX - Pre-Launch Preparations Thread

You are correct. LC-34 (site of Apollo 1 and 7) is visible in the shot and is the next pad south of 37.

SpaceX Starship - IFT-4 - Starbase TX - Launch Thread and Post Launch Discussion

Shuttles generally had good S-band comm to the TDRS satellites in geosynchronous orbit during entry. The size of the orbiter left quite a big wake in the ionized plasma and that hole allowed good a link, I suspect Starship is doing the same with both TDRS and Starlink. I believe smaller...

List of sites Supercharger sites with WiFi or Starlink

It looks there is one. However, I agree a simple list might be handy as well. https://teslamotorsclub.com/tmc/threads/starlink-equipped-superchargers.246921/

Supercharger - Decatur, GA - East Ponce de Leon Ave

According to the installation manual 2 red blinks means: Ground assurance fault, high ground resistance detected, charging disabled.

SLS - On the Scent of Inevitable Capitulation

Well, there were two options back then. As I recall, the original plan for crewed LEM testing was to launch the LEM and the CSM to LEO on separate Saturn I's then perform rendezvous and proceed with the testing. I believe the thinking at the time was Saturn V's wouldn't be ready in time. As...

SLS - On the Scent of Inevitable Capitulation

If I understand this correctly, Artemis III would be much like Apollo 9, where there was a full test of the docking, crew transfer, operation, and redocking of the LEM / CSM in LEO. There was no need to fly to the Moon to do this, nor is there a need to do it with Orion and Starship. Breaking...

    12.3 Misreading Speed Limit Signs

Instead of scrolling the speed back up, I disengaged FSD and when it asked "What happened?" I made several reports that it shouldn't be dropping down to the indicated minimum speed limit. When I arrived home and the car connected to WiFi it uploaded almost 11 GB... I'm guessing that was mostly...

    FSD experience

Yep, I noticed the same thing on my way home from the eclipse last week. Once I crossed the GA state line on I-75 southbound, it felt like SFSD found every Minimum Speed 40 MPH sign and reacted to them. It was highly annoying. After encountering a few and scrolling the speed back up, I...

    12.3 Misreading Speed Limit Signs

I don't recall any issues heading north to Ohio for the eclipse, but that might be because the nav routed me off I-75 N in Dalton, GA on to state highways up to Cleveland, TN to rejoin I-75. But heading back home not long after crossing the GA state line on I-75 S there was a string of Min...

Tesla Wall Connector - Partial Blue and Green Lights

I haven't seen mine do that, but it doesn't appear to be a valid fault code according to the manual. I would cycle the circuit breaker off for a couple minutes then back on to see if a reboot clears it.

The Moon Isn’t So Harsh A Mistress

They did. Canadarm2 has Latching End Effectors on both ends. There are multiple power and data grapple fixtures on the U.S. segment it can "inchworm" between, including the mobile base system that runs along the truss the solar arrays are mounted on. They also built Dextre, which Canadarm2...

    SpaceX F9 - IM-1 Nova-C Lander - LC-39A - Includes Post Launch Discussion

I believe they did hint at the answer. The lander is setup to switch antennas and/or radios in the event of a lost or poor comm link to try to establish a good link. With it on it's side, it's doing that continually now. So they likely only have brief windows to talk to it before it switches...

    No LTE connectivity

Perhaps I should have given mine a little more time (although the tech did say my board was internally faulting). If it happens again I might try your approach of buying a replacement board as a spare then waiting longer to see if it recovers before I swap it.
