Will the free FSD trial convince you to purchase FSD?

To me the FSD basic driving (i.e, lane keeping, following distance, braking and accelerating) are much better than what I had with the free auto pilot. I'm not sure I could ever be happy with that old level of performance again. So I so I paid the 99 for at least one more month to test it out...

FSD needs to learn how to read signs

I noticed FSD seems to completely ignore yield signs. I have to disengage and yield manually or it just blows right through.

    FSD free trial… I’m convinced

What's up with the speed limit detection? Seems to frequently get the speed limit wrong and often drops to 15 or 25 mph setting on roads that should be 35 to 50. Why does it think the limit is 15? This did not happen until the free trial FSD.

    FSD free trial… I’m convinced

I agree FSD is not for everyone. I love it, but to me it is more of a science experiment. Each drive I enjoy seeing how the car will handle various circumstances on the road, but I am always ready to intervene when it does something weird or unsafe. Frankly I am super impressed at how much FSD...

    FSD free trial… I’m convinced

I did. I was so impressed at how much better FSD was than regular free autopilot that I have subscribed at the new 99/mo price. I think it was genius to release this to all for a month. I would otherwise never have known how capable it was. I thought it was just AP with extra features. I...

FSD free trial. Very impressed. So better than Autopilot

So do you think there is a bug in the latest software that is causing the speed limit not to be recognized as well as it used to?

I'll say one thing, Tesla has no idea whatsoever what a horse and buggy looks like! While driving in Amish area of PA I came across several of them. They typically get interpreted as 1-2 people walking together and the image is not stable. I guess there are no Amish in CA 😆

FSD free trial. Very impressed. So better than Autopilot

I am having the exact same experience! Before the FSD trial my car properly read speed limit signs, but now with FSD it seems to get a lot of these same signs wrong on the same route. It often drops to 15mph for some weird reason near intersections. I assume this is some sort of default when it...

Will the free FSD trial convince you to purchase FSD?

Well I tried summon yesterday and it ran the front left wheel against a cement curb trying to back out of a parking spot. Now my wheel is all chipped up. Doubt I’ll ever try this again. Not sure if this was supposed to be a “smart summon”. It did involve turning the steering wheel. But it was a...

    Wiring for Wall Connector

Yeah, first one so far. Isn't it odd how the small group of non-NM-B evangelists here seem to know more than all the electricians in the nation? ;) Not disagreeing. 55a is the limit as I read it.

Living in Condo w/ Carport. What charger to install?

I would get the Wall Connector instead. It can be left out in any weather.

Will the free FSD trial convince you to purchase FSD?

FSD is much better than AP for basic driving like accelerating and stopping in traffic and lane positioning. I did not know this until I got the 30 day trial. It really is quite a nice improvement.

    FSD now $99 a month

Just subscribed for 99 in case they decide to raise it again. Subscription starts at end of trial. btw, I am really liking the new visualization as well, especially in full screen mode. Very cool to see how much the computer is aware of.
