I can only tell you what happened to me. I could have picked up my 2024 LR on Wednesday and they offered, albeit at the new price.

Here is I think sure fire easy way to find out if you are in purgatory. If there is 2024 in stock with same configuration you ordered in your delivery center and you don't have a VIN, you are in purgatory and likely are never getting a VIN without paying new price.

If your EDD never actually comes, and I've been told that it would never come without paying new price, you should message them and get them to fix it. Take that for what its worth considering the source.

Talked to someone from Tesla... I think you all guys will be paying a new price, I hope I'm wrong but I think that will be the case. If you see your order with endless EDD move, you need to call them to fix that and pay the new price... I canceled my order.

Well, they changed my order agreement without my consent to reflect new pricing and assigned me a VIN... So there is that.

I suspect the car they assigned to me is of the same fate, sitting on showroom floor with people slobbering over it. Plus they changed my order agreement without my consent. I think I might forget about Model S and just get something else.

Dies don't last forever so there could very well be a stamping issue if die wasn't changed on time or wore out earlier than expected.

They are looking into that, they now say they don't know why I got the new price. This is the case where left hand doesn't know what right hand is doing. I am not holding my breath that they will sort this out, i.e. getting the original order pricing...
