New "Mandatory" Colorado EV Plates are coming

Same here, right down to "they never gave me a sticker." Bought our first Tesla in 2016 (and still have it), and the second in 2022. Have never been offered a sticker even though several times I did the registration at the county courthouse, where the Clerk's Office is. No penalty? No problem...

Recall Service Resulted in 45,000 miles lost from odometer!

Just to wrap this up, mobile service said he couldn't fix it -- but it could be fixed remotely! He took the details down and passed them on to the right person. Within an hour of leaving my house, he texted me to check to see if the odometer was right. It was. Wild!

EEK! Is it still drivable? How does the driver's back feel?

    Supercharging.Life database

Well! It's been awhile since I went in to add visits since the spreadsheet was so slow and cumbersome (especially on my previous kinda slow ISP: hello from Starklink now!) What a breath of fresh air! The new database system is great, pretty intuitive, and I was even able to delete a visit where...

Recall Service Resulted in 45,000 miles lost from odometer!

Good to hear: Jack is coming by soon anyway. Wild that it has apparently happened before! It's showing the incorrect number both on the car's odometer and in the reporting to Tessie and the Tesla app.

Recall Service Resulted in 45,000 miles lost from odometer!

Jack, the Tesla mobile ranger who comes to the house to do misc. service, highly recommended that I take our 2016 (HW v1) Model S in for the 8GB eMMC Recall as we had been having trouble with the screens going blank (but thankfully always recovered after awhile). It was something he can’t do on...

    Model S Nature Pictures

I saw the narrow-gauge running in Durango on Thursday on my way home (I live about 6 miles from @dpgcolorado). Pretty sure they've been running all summer. The bought a diesel from Alaska, and have been working to convert their classic engines (example).

    Amateur Radio Antenna

My new Model Y is going to be a medical response vehicle, and I need two radios/antennas. I'm going to see if I can mount my radio bodies in what I call the "basement" (under the trunk floor), specifically the forward one, which won't really hold much else. I'll be using two trunk-lip NMO...

New "Mandatory" Colorado EV Plates are coming

My understanding is, it's so police can know it's an actual electric vehicle when it's parked in an electric vehicle charging spot. Maybe in the Leaf days a cop couldn't tell, but the only time I park in an electric vehicle charging spot is if I'm actively charging my electric vehicle! I...

New "Mandatory" Colorado EV Plates are coming

I've never been offered such a decal, and we got our first Tesla in 2016. 🤷

Solution for amateur radio operators? Impossible to use magmount antennas in a Tesla

Ooh: do you have any photos (or is there another thread somewhere?) showing how you installed emergency lights and routed wiring? I'm a volunteer medic in my county and as a captain, my vehicle needs to be equipped. My Model Y arrives in ~3 weeks. Thanks for any suggestions!

    Supercharger — Montrose, CO

Just as an update I charged there last night. The street is fully open. The Hartmann Brothers building is quite a wreck. Amazing job by Montrose F.D.

At least with the very thin air, the electrons move much more easily. 300KW delivery for sure! 😏😆

Supercharger - Kettleman City, CA - Bernard Dr. (LIVE, 56 V3 stalls)

Wouldn't be at all surprised if after the TG weekend they shut it down temporarily to pave it. And after that, hopefully before too long, add a solar canopy.
