Replace damaged MCU 2020 Model 3

I'm not sure this is so. It was definitely not so for MCU1. What was actually the case was that the eMMC storage chip that carried the vehicle's configuration data had to be transplanted (or, in the case of a failing eMMC chip, its contents needed to be read out and copied onto a replacement)...

How do these lugs work on the latest Wallbox EVSE?

And their UL or other recognized testing lab listing for the device should be at risk if they do not supply instructions adequate for any licensed electrician to safely install the device. You might try telling them so, and offering to let UL know of the problem as well.

    Snippiness 2.0

You'd accept a new car with a damaged mirror and a damaged body panel? The fanboi is strong in this one.

Regret purchasing FSD after the Ver 12 "upgrade" being crammed down my throat

As someone who has been hearing things like this since 2015, but observed that the company has still not delivered features they publicly promised when they were still on V1 autopilot, I have to say, when you stop believing the hype, you may find it's kind of a hard fall.

Autopilot will be disabled for approximately one week?

Again, what's causing problems here is Tesla failing to meet 10 years of its own promises about what Autopilot and "Full Self Driving" could do. Other manufacturers have full hands-off-wheel capability on highways and Mercedes even has hands-off-eyes-off in slow highway traffic. Still waiting...

Service center damaged my Model S

They should have resprayed the entire side of the car, at least. That would be standard at any body shop around here that's high enough end to be Tesla certified. If they did less, Tesla probably told them to in an attempt to save money. Just make them repaint it entirely.

Autopilot will be disabled for approximately one week?

Indeed. Believe me, after 8.5 years here I get the fanboy vibe and I probably shouldn't even get into this, but - if, in 2024, a brand new Tesla rolling off the line could deliver the level of driving automation performance that was promised for my first, 2015 Model S in numerous written...

    Abandoned Roadster in SF

For those who don't want to dig through every comment in the Reddit thread: Mission & College Terrace, which is a private road - so the city won't tow it Car's been there since 2018-2019 and appears to have been moved one time, in 2019. Nobody's got the VIN yet

Told my Powerwall won't charge off Solar

Did you actually look at the graph? There's at most a 25% increase in efficiency over the past 10 years.

Told my Powerwall won't charge off Solar

This is objectively false. Depending on panel type, the increase in efficiency since 1995 (28 years ago) is about 2X. Source: Efficiency of solar PV, then, now and future – Solar photovoltaic

Tesla software team consists of young kids?

Definitely needed - look at all the news reports of Tesla owners being carjacked while charging. I mean, there are dozens, maybe hundreds of reports of it right here in this forum over the years!

Charging Tesla in Extreme Cold (SD, ND, MN, Canada) with 110V - Battery Heating Time at -20°C (-4°F)?

Where he lives, there may very well be a separate circuit per parking space for an engine block heater. If so, if the management approved it could probably be converted to 240V for EV charging.

Charging Tesla in Extreme Cold (SD, ND, MN, Canada) with 110V - Battery Heating Time at -20°C (-4°F)?

You'll lose range every night with this setup - 1.4kW (120V at 12A - the most you can draw from a 15A outlet continuously) is considerably less energy than the battery heater will dissipate in subzero temperatures. The car will prioritize keeping the battery healthy over preserving range and...

    Tesla 2023 Model Y bricked

Yeah, and you didn't have AAA or some random operator tow it - Tesla arranged the tow with their supposedly certified and authorized tow company. Who they paid - not you. They're the one with the contractual relationship with the tow company and the responsibility to recover for damages; from...
