Current Tesla Service Location? How far?

I went with black BMW lug bolts to replace mine. No locking key, but much easier to deal with!

Current Tesla Service Location? How far?

Do you have the email they offer to try to set up Roadster service? I usually get a reply within a day or 2, and now I have the direct email of the guy at Laval, Quebec where I go, so it is easier. They just knocked out my annual service in one day yesterday. The email is...

    3.0 Battery Longevity

Are you planning to "solve DC Fast Charging" with some solution (some complete replacement of charging system)? Even those of us with the Jdemo aftermarket DC charging system are few and far between, and having a better, more widely accessible solution (if expensive) might be welcomed by some.

Disappointed that Tesla.app doesn't support the Roadster?

That's terrible. I bought mine years ago, and he was very helpful. Sorry to hear a more recent bulk buy went south.

Disappointed that Tesla.app doesn't support the Roadster?

I have one installed in mine. Don't know if the company still makes them but it is from QC charge. Products. I had mine installed behind a flip down license plate cover (done by the Electrified Garage). It cost me a very small part of the trunk, but after the designer saw people doing things...

Disappointed that Tesla.app doesn't support the Roadster?

Road trips might require installation of the aftermarket Jdemo system that lets you charge with direct DC charging (CHAdeMO connector), which are generally the fastest public chargers other than Tesla Superchargers.

    $6220 brake line?

thanks. I didn't bother to look at it myself. They finally got the car in their hands to start work today, so we will see what they ultimately decide...

Does PEM on 2.5 Roadster support 3.0 battery

When I had my 3.0 v2 installed, they replaced my PEM with a "new" PEM. It was new in that it was never used, but according to some sources, these "new" PEMs were just PEMs manufactured 10 or more years ago that had been sitting in storage.

    $6220 brake line?

They have done work on both the Roadster & my Model 3 in the past, and I was already communicating with them when Tesla came through!

    $6220 brake line?

I don't know, but they did imply that rust was doing in many Model 3's of a certain age due to all the road salt used in the northeast, and they were evaluating how to deal with it. While road salt could clearly be the etiology, and different designs might lessen the impact, the real issue in my...

    $6220 brake line?

The quote was based on the leaking brake fluid. They hadn't seen the car yet. I just dropped it off tonight for them to start work Monday.

    $6220 brake line?

Today, Tesla did the right thing and said they could repair without cost. They said they started offering a rust warranty in 2019, some months after I purchased mine. Good news!

    $6220 brake line?

2018 Model 3 suddenly had brake pedal going to the floor and throwing "low brake fluid" error. Inspection of the garage floor revealed a pool of brake fluid. I set up a repair with Tesla. The estimate? $6220.70 to repair a brake line!! They said they need to drop the battery to get at it. This...

Dirt Roads and Salt Brine: Rusted 2 Y.O. Model Y Rear Brake Lines in New Hampshire

My Model 3 (2018) just started leaking brake fluid. I set up a visit with the Tesla SC. They said to get to the brake lines, then need to drop the battery, and it will cost $6220.70 for that repair!!! That is absolutely crazy.

    2025 Roadster per Elon

I have to agree with point #1. Having a team assigned is not a guarantee there will be progress. Original Roadster owners like me recall the promise that they were working on a Roadster 3.0 (original Roadster) that would include a larger battery, lower resistance bearings and tires and improved...
